Introduction
I pitchedmynewmusicclassicmagazine whichistitled'Choral'.Ichose the name ‘Choral’asit
connotesthe musicwrittenspecificallyforagroupto performwhichiscalledchorusor choir.
Therefore it’slinkedtoclassical musicasorchestrasare usuallygroupsthatsingtogetherinclassic
musiceventsthereforetheycouldbe classifiedaschoral.
Evaluation of feedbackon the pitch
Mr Craftstoldme that there wasroom to improve.I've beenalsotoldthatIshouldavoidreadingoff
the board because the audience canreadoff the board andinsteadI shouldjustexpandonwhat's
on the board as it'dimprove mypitchand it'dlookbetterto the audience anditconnotestothem
that I knowwhatI'm talkingabout.Mr Craftsalsothoughtthat I shouldgive more examplesonmy
marketingandhowam I goingto marketmy magazine soitlooksclearto the audience whathow my
magazine isgoingto be knowntopeople.Duringthe
presentationitself,itlookedlikeIwasjustreadingoff the
board whatthe marketingstrategiesmean,Ishouldhave
specifiedwhatmarketingtechniqueI'mgoingtouse and
howwoulditbenefitmymusicmagazine. Anotherpoint
of improvementwasthatI've beentoldeventhoughIhad
a good magazine flatplan,itwasstill half of itand I need
to finishthe otherhalf.Also,myproductionplanwasonly
coveredforone weekandMr Craftswantedto see other
weeksinordertoget a betterand biggerideahow m
magazine is producedandnot justmainlyina weekashe
thoughtthat wasgeneral andnot coveredinbigdetail. Mr
Craftsalso thoughtI spoke veryconfidentlyandpassionatelyaboutmymusicmagazine thereforehe
was engagedbymypitchand founditinterestingand notdull orboring.He also thoughtthatmy
social mediareferenceswere excellentinthe sense thatIhadcovereda lotof the social mediasites
and therefore alotof people wouldbe able toaccessmymusicmagazine online onthese sites.

I've beentoldthatI shouldputthe social mediaproductsnearthe bar code on the frontcover to
make the readeraware of it andrecognise itat the bottomof the page.He alsotoldme that I should
stretchthe mastheadacross the whole widthof the page sothere won'tbe anyemptyspacesso it'd
lookmore appealingtothe reader.He alsotoldme that the mainimage shouldslightlyoverlapthe
mastheadas well.The colourof the backgroundwasalsonoticedandI was toldthat itshouldbe
changedso itcan lookmore appealingtothe readeraswell.Havingaplainwhite backgroundcould
lookdull orboringto some people therefore Ichangeditandput a violininthe backgroundwitha
slightlydarkercolour(grey).Therefore thiswouldconnotethe passion andthe sense of musicinmy
magazine andthe violinatthe backgroundalsorelate backto the mainimage of the front coveras
the personon the frontcoveris holdingaviolin.Violinisalsoaninstrumentthatisusedinclassic
musica lot of timesso it relatesbackto the genre of my musicmagazine.
2. Double page spread
Basedon the feedbackreceivedfromMrCrafts,I had a few pointstoimprove onmydouble-page
spread.For example,Ihada lot of emptyspace on the page whichI didn'tuse.Mr Craftstoldme to
use thisspace and not justleave itemptybecause it'dmake mypage lookdull andnot veryengaging
withthe reader.I improveditbyputtingalinkedpicture tothe interview andbyputtingthe
mastheadof my musicmagazine onitto increase itsawareness.You'll see thisonthe next
paragraph onmy

addeda backgroundthat had musicnotesinitand thisconnotesthe passionandthe sense of music
inmy magazine andit alsolooksmore appealingtothe audience.Socialmediareferenceswere also
addedto the page alongside the weblink.The mastheadof mymagazine wasalsoontopright
corner of the double page spreadsopeople wouldknow whatmylogois.

connotesthatI engagedthe audience
withme in mypresentationandthe
majorityof themthoughtI had a good
presentationtherefore itwasn'tboring
or dull.
4. One of the strengthsIhad accordingto the SurveyMonkey,people thoughtIhadgoodbody
language andgoodeye contact withthe audience duringmypitch(8 outof 8 people thoughtthat).
Thismade my presentationlooklessboringandmore interestingasitkeepsthe audience interested
inthe productand not thinkit'sboring.The picture below showsthe resultsIgotwhenIaskedthis

Budget, profit,lossbreakdown
Basedon the feedbackIreceivedfromMrCrafts,he toldme that the presentationof mybudgetwas
reallyneatandeasyto read andunderstand.He alsolikedthe facthow I I dividedeachdepartment
and itsjobstogetherasyou can see fromthe picture below. Forprofitandlossbreakdown,Mr
Craftslikedthe factthat I saidI'd have a decreasedamountof profitinthe firstmonthsbecause my
magazine wouldbe newtothe market,andthat I'd have an increasedamountof profitinyear2
monthlyby£1000; howeverIdidn'tmentionhow muchprofitI'dmake in a yearand that's
somethingIshouldhave tookintoconsideration.Ialsoreceivedpositivefeedbackforthe graphI put
whichillustratesthe profitof mymagazine duringthe year.The graphclearlyconnotes thatI'd make
a lot more profitinthe winterthansummerbecause alot of classical musiceventstake place at
winterandtherefore more people atthattime wouldbe interestedinreadingmymagazine.

In conclusion,IthinkImassivelyimprovedmymagazine asIaskedMr Craftsif he'dinvestinmy
magazine andhe saidyesif I improvedafew thingssuchas the double-page spreadbyaddingthe
masthead,social mediareferences,background;alsobychanging the frontcover,by puttinga
slightlydifferentcolourbackgroundandothersmall technical thingssuchasmakingthe picture
overlapthe mastheadandstretchingthe mastheadacrossthe whole widthof the page.Ifeel Ihave
changedthe thingsMr Craftsaskedme to do and therefore thismeansthathe wouldinvestinmy
magazine.
