I had my first meeting with my ns:
10/13/2011 project facilitator at my house
4:30 PM to 6:00PM today. We talked about my final
product and how I wanted it to turn
out in the end.
Commentary:
There is a lot more that goes into
planning a cosmetic party than
thought. At this party I want to do
people makeup in front of everyone
so the can see how the makeup is
used first hand. However the
planning is okay because I am sure
this is what I am going to have to
do in the future when I am working
as a makeup artist.

I spent the day watching youtube ns:
10/15/2011 videos on makeup techniques.
12:00 PM to 3:00PM Weird enough this acctually helped
me. Watching people do the
makeup step by step made
replicating the technique ten times
easier.
Commentary:
After watching the videos I realzied
how helpful they really were. I
think I am going to be doing this a
lot more when I see a new
technique I want to learn how to
master.

10/18/2011 I talked to the people I want to
4:30PM to 5:00 Pm use as my 'models' today. After
this I did reaserch on face, lip,
and eye shapes so I could be
more educated when I hosted
my party.
Commentary:
It is definitely harded than I
thought it would be to
determine the names of face
shapes, also I never knew how
much all the face shapes
looked alike. But this will help
me for when a client walks in
and I have to know the shape
of their face on the spot.

11/30/2011 Today I met with my project ns:
5:00PM to 6:00 PM facilitator to talk about my final
product of my project, which is the
party. We set the date and put
together a list of everyone to invite
and planned the whole party out.
Commentary:
Planning a Avon Party is a lot
harder than I thought it would be. I
never imanged how much planning
and time went into making them
possible. This party will be nothing
than less of perfect.

12/18/2011 Today I practiced makeup on my ns:
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm little sister. I did a bunch of
different styles on her and tried
new techniques I had learned.
Commentary:
Practicing on my sister was a lot of
help. She was very happy to go
along with it. This is going to help
me for when I go to do makeup on
people at the Avon Party.

1/24/2012 I wrote out all my invitations by ns:
8:00 pm to 10:00 pm hand that I am going to mail out
tomorrow morning for the party
next month. It was a lot of work
because I had to write out in detail
what was going on at the party and
that the proceeds where going to
the breast cancer research.
Commentary:
After spending two hours writing
out invitations they are finally
ready to go out. I was planning out
having them typed out. However I
decided to save money and buy
blank invitations at the store and
write out every single one by hand.
I wrote out 30 invitations in all and
after doing this my hand hurts so
bad. But I am happy that they are
all done.

2/4/2012 Today was the day I had my Avon ns:
3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Party. It was a huge success! I had
25 people show up. In the end I
ended up raising $450 to go
towards breast cancer reaserch.
Commentary:
The party went a whole lot better
than I thought it would. Everyone
at the party bought products for the
company, which helped raise
money. Also, not only did I get to
makeup on my 'models' but a
bunch of guest from the party
wanted me to do theirs so they
could see if the makeup really
worked. I could not have been any
happier with the way it turned out.

2/6/2012 my M.A.C faces finally came in ns:
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm today. After I got them I started
working on them. I got 2 done in an
hour time frame.
Commentary:
It is very hard to use the faces at
first. My first attempt did not turn
out so good. I approved on the
second one but I am having trouble
blending and get the colors to show
up how I want them too. This
something that obviuously takes
time to master. So I will keep
working at it until I get them
looking perfect.

I finally finished my M.A.C faces! I ns:
2/28/2012 have been working on them trough
4:00 pm to 10:00 pm out the month here and there but
today was the day that I really sat
down and worked on them until
they were all finished.
Commentary:
It took me awhile to learn how the
paper worked and get the faces to
look good but I finally got the hang
of it. After I got the hang of it I had
no problem with the faces, I was
able to do them no problem. As a
result of me learning how to do it I
was able to do them a lot faster than
the first time I ever tried to do
them. I am definitely better at them
now than I was a month ago.
