Open Fields Of Grace Analysis
The book Radiance by Alyson Noel is a novel about a girl who left her sister, Ever, and crossed the bridge into the afterlife. The song that best
connected to this book was "Open Fields of Grace" by Jackie Evancho. The theme, Life may have its challenging times but, adventures, love, and
friendships are ready to be made can be applied to both Radiance and "Open Fields of Grace." When you pass away, your journey is thought to end but
actually is not over, as there is still an afterlife. Like Riley, who can still see her family and dog in a place called "Here". She has picked up where she
left off and continues to live her life to the fullest. Riley Bloom is a 12 year old girl who got in an unfortunate car crash and was killed. She goes on
to an adventure to catch souls that didn't cross the bridge... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"When tears are but a memory, we'll run to God like children free." (lines 17–19) This line conveys the message that when you're in heaven, you are
still alive and have flashbacks of your memories. You'll be free and have God by your side. "No longer were you broken, or in pain the wind blew
kisses through your hair you laughed with beauty, unaware." (lines 1–3) After her car accident, Riley's pain came to an end and she had a beautiful and
grateful life, feeling more alive than she had ever been in her life. Straight into the shimmering mist between two worlds until she found her place,
Here. "Dancing in God's delight as night fades away, last night I saw you running in the open fields of grace. Someday I will be running there with
you." (lines 22–26) When you are in heaven watching over people seeing them and what they are doing makes you realize how important life really
is. Someday the people you love the most will be there with you. The song, "Open Fields of Grace" describes to you what they believe heaven is
actually like and creates an image in the reader's mind to know what Riley may have

Essay Comparing Heart Of Darkness And Apocalypse Now
If a person feels strongly about their beliefs, if they are not careful, they can suffer from a heightened sense of self–worth. The greatest struggle a
person can go through is trying to get out of their own heads and stop themselves from feeling above anybody else, because in the end, each person
deserves the same treatment because they all born the same and they will all suffer the same fate in the end. Heart of Darkness, written by Joseph
Conrad, and Apocalypse Now, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, both feature a similar scene that demonstrates how cruel, violent human relation can
never be justified because, in the end, each and every person is on the same level. Both of the Apocalypse Now and Heart of Darkness scenes display
how the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both scenes portray their main character as one with little care or emotion attached to what is going on around them, even though they are in a
perilous situation. "Willard" from Apocalypse Now acts relatively normal after the natives attack his crew, as if nothing actually happened. Similarly,
"Marlow" from Heart of Darkness shows little reaction to the death of the Mad Helmsman, even describing the scene simply as "A pool of blood lay
very still, gleaming dark–red..." (Conrad 106). He doesn't show any wild reaction or emotion towards what he saw. In contrast, the crews in both
scenes react wildly to the situation. The crew in Apocalypse Now speak frantically towards each other, yelling out "Clean! Captain, Clean's hit!
He's hit!" and "Where'd the dog go? Where's the dog? We gotta go back and get the dog!" The Heart of Darkness crew reacts similarly, with the
manager, shocked at the body of the Mad Helmsman, yells out, "Good God" (Conrad 106). Willard and Marlow both understood that this would
happen, and that any person could suffer this fate, which is something the rest of their crews failed to realize, which is why their reactions differed so

Personal Narrative Fiction
They all say I'm crazy. I'm not crazy I just see things differently, that's all. Not anything particularly different, I just like to tell myself that I'm not
like anyone else, which of course is true. Jean isn't like anyone else either. Jean is different, like me of course. I hate Jean, but Jean and I are great
friends. My mother hates it when I tell her about my friend Jean. I don't know why. My mother must be crazy. To stop my crazy mother from
yelling at me when I talk about Jean, I'm going to tell my journal instead. On the tv I saw a young girl write in her journal and all her problems
went away. Jean didn't seems to like this idea, but Jean doesn't control me. I will just hide it from him. Today Jean and I went on an adventure! It
was absolutely amazing. I'm no Raphael, but you can say Jean and I are quite the bad boys. Someday, Jean and I will meet those cool turtles. Mom

with him. I can't I said. Mom told me no adventures outside. Jean came closer and tried talking but I could not hear him so I opened the window.
Mom didn't say I couldn't open a window. Jean looked as if he had been hurt. His eyes were tired and bruised and his neck looked as if it had been
choked. His shirt torn and bloody gashes could be seen from his chest. His hands were dirty and bloodstained. His left pinky looked as if it had
been stepped on and completely broken. Jean said I must come with him. I asked where he was all this time but he kept telling me to come. I said
no. Jean started to cry. Jean said he didn't want anything bad to happen. I didn't listen to Jean though. Jean has tried to trick me before and I've never

Analysis Of Mark Twain 's Adventures Of Tom Sawyer
Mark Twain's Adventures of Tom Sawyer addresses the fear of the citizens of the newly reborn nation after the war between the states and what
changes await for them, in correlation to the children as the fearful citizens and their exposure to society or the adult world as the reborn nation.
Children fear of what lies ahead in the adult world as the citizens of the reborn nation fear what exists in a united nation. Twain's sepulchral imagery
conjures up the spine–chilling mood of a child when faced with a part a ugly truth of reality, which hints at the agitation of the citizens after the war
between the states. In addition Twain's incorporation of religion serves to amplify the metaphorical value in the need to face the truth as evidenced...

The tone of characters throughout the narrative, amplifies their personality and their character. In the text, it mentions: They continued to whisper for
some little time. Presently a dog set up a long, lugubrious howl just outside–– within ten feet from them. The boys clasped at each other suddenly, in an
agony of fright. "Which of us does he mean?" gasped Huckleberry... Tom, quaking with fear, yielded, and put his eye to the crack. His whisper was
hardly audible when he said: "Oh, Huck, it's a stray dog!"... "Huck, he must mean us both–– we're right together." "Oh, Tom, I reckon we're goners. I
reckon there ain't no mistake 'bout where I'll go to. I been so wicked." (69–70) This dialogue between Tom and Huck transpired in an abandoned
tannery after they escaped from the terrifying scene. In the tannery, Tom and Huck swear oath to never say or mention anything they just saw. Right
when they try to calm themselves, they hear a stray dog howling outside. They believe that the person the stray dog howls at will eventually die. The
dialogue exchanged between the 2 boys, project a clear character of both Tom and Huck. Throughout the narrative, Tom's character shares between a
mature and immature side. His actions are sometimes adult–like while other times, he acts foolish like a child. This dialogue exenturent the immature
and childish side of Tom. In this scene and at heart, Tom exists as a child slowly diluting into society and the adult world.

Explain How The Lessons Learned In The Call Of The Wild
Lessons in The Call Of The Wild
In the adventure story The Call Of The Wild by Jack London, Buck is taken to be a sled dog during the Klondike Gold Rush. Buck learns several
different lessons, which validates that there are multiple themes. Buck learns the effort of leadership, the requirements of survival, and the power of
instinct.
Buck learned the effort of leadership. After being in the pack for some time, Buck killed Spitz and expected to be the leader of the pack the day
after. At first thought, Francois did not want Buck to lead the sled, but Buck thought that he should "have the leadership. It was his right. He had
earned it, and he would not be content with less (London, 81)." After trying to gain leadership for quite some time, Buck knew that he earned it. He
had been working hard, which was paying off for him. Buck learned several lessons, and was improving mentally, as well as physically. Later that day, it

they were all important. We learn lessons everyday in real life. In some ways, we are all just like Buck. Buck takes his lessons and learns from
them, as well as most of us. If we all continue to benefit from the lessons we learn, good or bad, then we will be able to have a different view on
things. By having a different view on things, we can be more positive about how we react to different situations, and things we may not be
comfortable with. Buck taught us that we can learn and adapt to new things. He taught us that the lessons we learn can be crucial to us later on. All
in all, Bucks lessons are beneficial to us, so we can be aware of the lessons in our own

My Personal Aspects Of Reading : My Love For Reading
You don't realize how life–changing reading is until you actually crack open a book and read it with good intentions. Reading has always been up
and down for me. I loved reading as a child; I would stay up late reading until you could see the sunrise. But of course, when you get older, cliques,
peer pressure, and the middle school to high school life causes you to stray away from it. I had a time in my life where every book was my enemy.
However, all of that changed when I entered my sophomore of high school. My reading journey started when I was in preschool. I went to a learning
center in Windom, Minnesota. Windom had a small population, most of which were the elderly, which meant my preschool class was small. Since the
classroom was small, my teacher had more time one–on–one with her students. I remember one day I picked up a book about Clifford, the big red dog,
and his owner. My teacher sat next to me watching while I opened the softcover novel and began to read the words on the pages. I couldn't read all of
the words but it was the first time I felt like I could read on my own without my teachers help. This is what sparked my love for reading.
Throughout the years I would come to love more books and spend more time reading than anything else. This all changed when I entered sixth grade.
I was in Honors English 6 which meant we had harder novels to choose from than the regular classes. I had never heard of the books that were given
as options for the assigned

Robinson Crusoe Analysis
With the passion for the adventure stories, the novel "Robinson Crusoe" by
Daniel Defoe really lures me into it, thus and so I can memorize every detail in this interesting book. Daniel Defoe, an English writer, journalist and
trader was living in the period 1660– April 24, 1731. " Robinson Crusoe" is the one make him most famous was written in 1719. He composed this
novel in his fifties, so it expresses much about his experience and perspective of a trader and journalist. At his time in Europe, trading and traveling
on sea were developing explosively, thus the term " adventure", "sailor", "ship" or anything about ocean one way or another considerably impacted on
the literature. The novel " Robinson Crusoe" is an explicit example of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There was an ideological struggle in his mind, between the ideas going back home in Hull or keep the journey to London. The passion of to
become a sailor one again pushed him to London to joint the merchant ships on which Robinson gained some experience and made a bit fortune.
However, the luck was not on his side for long, on a commercial trip to Guinea, Turkish pirates attacked his merchant ship and seized the Robinson as
a slave. This event can be a mark for the long period of his drift.
After years of slavery, he succeeded escaping on a small boat, which he stole from his owner. For days floating on sea, Robinson was saved by a
merchant ship that heading to
Brazil. The captain on that ship showed his kindness and liberality by treating the young sailor and agreed to buy his boat. As the result of that,
Robinson greatly appreciated and had bit money to begin a new life in Brazil. Another four years of his life passed,
Robinson was living a good life in Brazil, learnt local language, and had some property and friends until another trip.
The shipwreck and the desert island. For all what had happened to Robinson since he left his home nine years ago, he was still alive and showed the
ability to survive and adapt to different living condition. Thought about what he went through, he would never go back to sea again, but it was not that.

Essay about Gary Paulsen: A Life of Adventure and Survival
Gary Paulsen: A Life of Adventure and Survival Gary Paulsen's whole life reflects his life of adventures and survival in the wilderness and his
writing reflects his experiences. Living in the remote Minnesota woods Paulsen released Some Birds Don't Fly in 1966 (Trelease), and began his
professional writing career and now has achieved three Newbery Honor Books with his novels – Hatchet, The Winter Room and Dogsong
(Pendergast). Paulsen's most popular book, Hatchet, a story of a young boy named Brian who lands a plane after the pilot dies from a heart attack and
must survive in the remote wilderness alone, reflects some of Paulsen's real life experiences when he used to answer emergency calls and deal with
many heart attack victims (Paulsen... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

in the wilderness came when he was fourteen and ran away from home and joined the carnival (Pendergast). In one of Paulsen's most popular novels,
Hatchet the main character Brian gets attacked by a moose, This is reflected from Paulsen's experience of when he was hunting with a rifle and came
across a family of moose and the male moose attacked him (Paulsen 31). This experience was very memorable for Paulsen and was significant enough
that he wrote about it in one of his non–fiction novels. Also in Hatchet Brian crafts his own bow and arrows and hunted with it just like Paulsen
would in real life, he preferred hunting with a bow instead of a firearm because bows were silent and " didn't disturb the sound of the wilderness in
the woods " (Paulsen 76). Paulsen has encountered many animals and has been stalked by mountain lions, bitten by snakes and punctured by
porcupines, many of his Brian stories have hostile animal encounters (Paulsen 30 ). Paulsen has spent a lot of time in the wilderness woods and has
trapped and fished which is shown in many of his novels (Paulsen 30). Living in the remote Minnesota woods in a cabin by

Ethos Pathos Logos
While the music is very important to setting the tone of the video, the actors and the dogs played a very important role also. You saw both the boy
and dog grow up and mature. The director used pathos to bring out the emotions of the viewers. This idea of using pathos helps the commercial
get its point across because IAMS dog food is suppose to help your dog live a long, happy and healthy life. Throughout the commercial, you see the
boy and his dogs journey from childhood and puppyhood to adulthood. Even though the dog food makes the dog happy and live a better life, that
influences how he treats the boy as well. As a young boy, whenever they would play together or if the boy was sad, the dog would lick the boys face
and always cheer him up.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though the scenes were quick, the viewer could get a sense of all of the feelings happening within the video. Each scene contributes to the
boy and his dogs life and the journey that they are taking. One thing that makes this commercial more fascinating is how the scenes could
represent a persons life. Life goes so fast and you need to savor all of the memories that you create as a child. The directors choice to show the
progression of the boy and dogs life is important because it shows how the dogs loyalty is constant throughout their life. From when they were
little to when they grew up, the dog has always come when called, gave all of his love, and made amazing memories to commemorate life. In the
first few scenes they both start out very young. They both begin life, new to the world and not as smart as they will become later in life. As they
grow they grow and mature together. They experience fun and great days and they also experience hard patches. But, no matter what they always
help each other get through it. However, as the boy gets older so does the dog. That is the way life works. But there is one difference. The boy gets
stronger and begins to reach his peak in life, whereas the dog gets older and weaker because dogs age faster than

Dogs become vital to you, they are something you wouldn't ever give up. My dog, Carly has taught me so many life lessons, even when she can't

different breeds to try and find a fit for our family. Eventually, my parents took us to look at dogs, but none of them seemed to suit our needs. It was
late afternoon on a enjoyable, mild June day at the baseball field. As we commenced our journey home I realized we were headed in the wrong
direction.
"Where are we going?" I asked, looking at my parents in confusion.
"We are going to look at some puppies." Mom explained excitedly.
Realization dawned on me. We were getting a puppy!
"What kind of dog are we going to look at?" I questioned with excitement.
"A cockapoo," stated Mom anxiously.
I looked at my mom and we shared the same bright smile, as the car drove towards the country house where my future best friend was waiting. After
about an hour of driving, we arrived at Iola.
Stepping out of the car, my excitement mounted with each step towards the shed, noisy with the yips of puppies. When we saw the puppies, they had
fitted snugly into the palm of my mother's hand. My parents secretly told the owner to hold the female until they could decide if they wanted her or
not. The litter that we were looking at was of seven males and one female, including the one we looked at. Not only did we go to see the female
Cockapoo once, but came back three times. With the final visit, we had decided to get her and bring her home. I was beyond grateful. Our

Analysis of Animal Characters in Alice in Wonderland by...
Why are animal characters so popular in children's literature? Why do they tend to be either fierce or friendly? How do animal characters impact
children's literature? In Alice's Adventure in Wonderland, the animal characters are very weird. They were supposed to guide Alice through the
traditional fairytale world she has created, but instead they were negative influences on this child. I believe the audience expected that animal
characters are supposed to because they are the ones who should be a role model for kids to look up or when they read it. Do the animal characters in

Since Alice saw him disappeared in the dark, it seemed that he was trying to drag her to go in the dark well. This rabbit behavior is very weird
because it grabbed Alice's attention and wanted her to go after her. In our world, the rabbits never want to grab our attention or want us to know
where they are. From Del Toro's Pan Labyrinth, it is connected to Ofelia when she saw the fairy tales in the wood. I am applying Fairytales as
rabbit. When the rabbit hopped away and disappeared in hole, Alice was upset because she thought that it was supposed to guide her to the world
that she has created just like Ofelia. In my personal experience as a kid, every time I see a rabbit or squirrel, I used to go after them. All the times,
they went in the hole or in the wood. I was upset that I couldn't go after them anymore just like Alice and Ofelia. Alice's head struck against the roof
of the hall and she was more than nine feet high. She sat down and began to cry. Alice felt very desperate that she was ready to ask anyone for help.
According to Carroll 1865, p. 8, when the White Rabbit came near her, she began in a low, timid voice, "If you please, Sir–––––" The White Rabbit
started violently, dropped the white kid–gloves and the fan, and scurried away into the darkness as fast as he could go. In my opinion, Lewis Carroll
disobeyed the audience by using rabbit as animal character. He didn't do what the audience would expect.

Racism, Prejudice, And Discrimination
The movie we watched to see ageism was Up. The definition of ageism, from Meriam Webster, is prejudice or discrimination against a particular
age–group, especially the elderly. In my opinion, we can also see it against young people. We can see when a job is hiring, they might not hire
someone because they are too young, and they might think they are unprofessional. We can also see ageism in the Bible. Proverbs 23:22 says, "Listen
to your father who begot you, and do not despise your mother when she is old." I have said this in multiple papers, but God has created us all
equally and we should treat everybody with respect. In the movie, we saw the main character, Mr. Fredricksen, acting like a typical "old man." We
saw him acting grumpy and irritable. When Russell, a young boy scout, came to his house to help him, Mr. Fredricksen denied everything that
Russell offered. We saw how they do not get along, so Mr. Fredricksen sent him off to look for a bird that does not exist, and assumed he would not
come back. We also heard some ageist remarks throughout the movie. At the beginning of the movie, the two men taking him to the retirement home
made a comment about how Mr. Fredricksen probably had to go to the bathroom for the 80th time. We also saw how the dogs smelled prunes and
denture cream, which were the smell of Mr. Fredricksen. Despite the rocky start to the movie, we learn that Mr. Fredricksen was actually a hero, despite
the ageist comments and assumptions. The

I did not like Christopher, the main character, because of his somewhat spastic nature. The way that Christopher determined how good a day would
be is utterly stupid. Additionally, Christopher showed symptoms of a hypocrite and psychopath. For example, Christopher was against the person
who murdered Wellington, yet he frequently mentions throughout the book, how he wants to saw people's hands off and stab them with the saw
blade on his Swiss Army Knife. For that very reason, I did not find myself caring about Christopher as I read, except for his poor family
arrangements. As mentioned above, I like how the author was very descriptive. However, I did not like when the author went off topic completely, and
started talking about star constellations. Additionally, I did not enjoy reading countless pages of, "He said," then "I said," then, "He said," then "I
replied." It is obvious who is saying what in a conversation, therefore, the repetitiveness is not needed and just annoys the reader. Overall, the plot and
theme of the book was enjoyable, but the countless chapters of irrelevant information, was time consuming and not

Personal Narrative: The Environment I Was Raised
The Environment I Was Raised
Over the years my neighborhood, family, and environment has shaped me to become the person I am today. It's been a rough ride here and there, but
the view is great and I am ecstatic and ready for the adventures that will cross my path.
When I was young, the environment and my neighborhood were both chaotic. I grew up seeing so much negativity. You'd think it was Fourth of
July or New Years nearly every night with all the shots being fired. My neighbors were constantly fighting, arguing, and some occasionally threw
eggs towards the place where I felt safe. Now that I look back on my childhood, I understand why I was afraid to come out of my shell, however, I
did take comfort in the little things. I didn't let any of that get to me because even in that kind of environment there were still good days. I blocked out
the negativity by playing my alto saxophone and despite my allergies, I spent time with a group of sweet dogs. Which, mind you, was made up of
around 4 stray dogs, 2 of the neighbor's dogs, and one of my own. I loved walking around and watching them gather around me waiting excitedly for
the leftovers I gave them once we all had dinner. The amount of love the dogs exchanged for attention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

maintaining a streak of straight hundreds on my quizzes. Sadly, I was eventually knocked down my throne, but I still felt like royalty. I was shaped
by my older sisters to be an independant person because whenever I needed aid, they would simply give me a clue and let me figure out the rest on
my own. This was truly a challenge, but I got better and better at the

Essay On My War Gone By Anthony Lloyd
My War Gone By, I miss it so by Anthony Lloyd is a fantastic story and memoir of his personal struggles and experiences during the Bosnian war.
The novel changes between his personal experiences in Bosnia, personal reflections of his time in the British army, his parents' divorce, and heroin
addiction. There are many exciting moments like looking through the sights of a Muslim gun trained on a Serb soldier, traveling with a French
mercenary, and fleeing from Serbs during battle. There are also firefights and it gets gruesome at times, which is something to keep in mind if you
have a weak stomach. Lloyd started as a war correspondent came when another British journalist was wounded. He had arrived in Bosnia as a war

Loyd conveys the experience of a war correspondent living at the front. He tells some personal stories like how he almost booy–trapped his neighbors
latrine for shooting Lloyd's dog, because the dog attacked his neighbors chicken. He only didn't because another neighbor talked him out of it. He
also talks about heroin addiction, his parents' divorce, his family's military history, along with the hardships of living in the front line. The war
helped his heroin addiction, instead of getting high off the drug he would get high off of the adrenaline from war. "It was not necessarily that I had
`found myself' during the war, but the conflict had certainly put a kind of buffer zone between the fault lines in my head." Though it is interesting
to see an insight of his personal life, people looking for more of an insight of the war could get annoyed at how much personal writing there is. It's
not the big adventure story some people may be looking for. This novel really lets you see the cruelty and brutality of the war. He talks about the war
crimes committed, the death and destruction that takes place in normal combat, firefights and getting shot at, and the toll all of this takes on him and
his comrades. Lloyd really makes you understand what war crimes and ethnic cleansing are all about. The book does not detail out why the war was
taking place nor the world politics that were going on at the time, but

In True Colors women were realizing that they could control how others viewed themselves. In the 1950's and 1960's Clairol hired a copywriter
by the name of Shirley Polykoff who created a brilliant campaign which asked "does she or doesn't she"(Gladwell 79)? This slogan was effective
and unforgettable. Clairol then produced an at home color bath that became a breakthrough in the American beauty industry; it was an all in one
product. During this time women weren't as open as they are now about dyeing their hair. This made people wonder "does she or doesn't she"

Huckleberry Finn Satire Essay
"I heard an owl, away off, who–whooing about somebody that was dead, and a whippo–will and a dog crying about somebody that was going to die;
and the wind was trying to whisper something to me, and I couldn't make out what it was" (Twain 13). Twain often ridicules American society in the
early 1800's. He pokes fun at various subjects throughout the novel, such as human brutality, women's roles in society, and slavery within christianity.
Satire plays a major role in Mark Twain's classic novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Examples Of Perseverance In The Call Of The Wild
Perseverance is the will to keep fighting and give it your all even through the most difficult circumstances. In Jack London's book, The Call Of The
Wild, the main character learns to keep going even when the going gets tough. One of the main themes of this book was to keep going and never lose
hope. Buck, the main character, is a dog who is part St. Bernard and part Scotch Shepherd dog. He is brought into an adventure which little does he
know, will seem to never end and as he goes through this adventure, there will be a multitude of challenges ahead including starvation, exhaustion, and
the freezing temperatures.
Part of perseverance is staying alive. Survival of the fittest is the best example of this because when Buck gets kidnapped from his easy life at the
estate and then thrown into different environments and situations like becoming part of a dogsled group, he adapts and survives. When Buck first
started out, he was just another dog who was near the top of the pack, but was not at the top. A dog named Spitz was at the top, always had been, and
it seemed as if he always would be. Spitz despised Buck and vise–versa. They did not get along and disagreed on almost everything. One day; however,
Buck and Spitz got into a fight like any other dog. The stakes at which dogs fought were that winner gets to stay alive and the loser dies, ... Show more

Elliott Erwitt is a street photographer born in Paris from Russian immigrant parents (Erwitt, 2011). This essay will not focus on his biography but rather

I think that this picture is really about enjoying youself without caring of what society believes is appropriate. It is said that "The true content of a
photograph is invisible, for it derives from a play not with form but with time". This makes me think that the real content of a picture, which is what
the photographer tried to express, is not evident to perceive unless an explanatory text is provided. In fact, I believe that our perceptions of pictures
changes over time as the historical context do. In addition, our opinions are never fixed as they are influenced by our environment. Therefore, when
looking at a particular picture at a given time, it is certain that our perception of it will be different in the future based on what happen between the first
time and second time we saw it.
After viewing these six pictures, I consider that it is almost impossible to feel sad or depressed when looking at Elliott Erwitt work. Finally, the essay
will be finished by mentioning a quote of him that I believe perfectly represents what photography is about and how it reaches out to most people: "It's
about reacting to what you see, hopefully without preconception. You can find pictures anywhere. It's simply a matter of noticing things and organizing
them. You just have to care about what's around you and have a concern with humanity and the humancomedy.

There are times when trouble and negative situations weigh us down. We need to have a winter wilderness experience trip to revise the soul. Some
may call it a sabbatical and others call it R&R (REST AND RELAXATION). The woman in the story "A Blizzard under Blue Sky" knew she needed a
turn around. Having bad relationships with men surely

Examples Of Foreshadowing In Call Of The Wild
"Call of the wild" is the worst book I ever read in my life. It is hard to understand, especially when the people talk. Also I didnt know alot of words
mean. My favorite chapter was chapter six. The worst chapter was chapter seven. My opinion about chapter one is that is was sort–a okay for the most
part. I liked it when Buck is at his house in Santa Clara California. I disliked it when Buck got beaten and mistreated. what stood out to me was
when the people poked Buck with sticks. Also when the man in the red sweater beats Buck with a club. My opinion about chapter two is that it
worse than chapter one. I hated it when Curly died when she was just trying to be nice. I disliked it when Buck and Spitz got into a fight. I liked it
when it said buck got stronger and smarter. I also liked it when Buck joined the other dogs to howl at the northern lights. I think chapter three... Show

The setting in the first chapter is sunny, Santa Clara, California. The setting at the end of the book is in the snowy, woods of Alaska. Call of the
wild is a great book if your are interested in the whole outdoors adventure and survival."Here is some examples of foreshadowing in chapter two
and three, Buck and the team will start working together is that they were doing so much training in chapter two. The reason why I thought that
Spitz and Buck are going to fight is because they got into a lot of other fights. The reason why I think Buck is going to learn how to steal food is
because he saw Pike steal a whole piece of bacon and the story said, "He watched and learned." Buck is going to stop hurting himself because it said,
"His muscles became hard as iron and he grew callous to all ordinary pain." And the reason I think Buck and Sol–leks will fight is because Sol–leks
and Buck got into a fight before so I think they are going to fight again. That is what I thought about "Call of the

Narrative Essay On Huck Finn
The person I have the hardest time identifying with is Huck.
I believe that the world is full of adventures and that I would like to go on with my friends Tom and Joe. I'm a thirteen–year–old son of the local drunk
and a protagonist. I live in a small town of St. Petersburg, Missouri. So far I've been on many adventures with my friends. I was a witness to a murder,
lived on an island, and became rich. Witnessing a person's murder was pretty scary but I had my best friend there with me. We swore to keep our
mouths shut but when my friend potter was accused, I felt really bad, but if I told what I saw I would a been a goner. But my friend tom told, at one
point and I was on the verge of talkin too, but the mudurer ran out the court room. Living on an island with my two boys Joe and Huck ... Show more

He tossed the marble pettishly, and stood cogitating.
Infallible– flawless, incapable of making mistakes. The truth was that a superstition of his had failed, here, which he and all his comrades had always
looked upon as infallible.
Incantation– prayer or chant. If you buried a marble with certain necessary incantation, and left it alone fortnight, and then opened the place with the
incantation he had just used, you will find that all the marbles you had ever lost had gather themselves together there, meantime, no matter how widely
they had been separated.
Treacherous– disloyal. Then tom became robin hood again, and was allowed by the treacherous nun to bleed his strength away through his neglected
wounds.
Sublimity– a high up person or thing. Huckleberry was filled with admiration of Tom's facility in writing, and the sublimity of his language.
Verdigrease– could not find the definition. It might have verdigrease.
Lugubrious– looking sad or sounding sad; doleful, gloomy, woebegone. Presently a dog set up the long, lugubrious, howl just outside –––––within ten

Descriptive Essay On Carly And Me
Carly & Me Dogs become vital to you, they are something you would never give up. My dog, Carly, has taught me so many life lessons, even
though she cannot talk. Likewise, she has taught me to be a kind, positive, selfless human being. Yes, having a dog may be challenging, stressful
work, but in the end, it is all worth it. Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted a dog. When I was about three, my cousins unexpectedly lost their
chocolate lab, Bailey. I don't remember Bailey, but I do remember when they brought home a yellow labpuppy named Tess. The moment I laid eyes
on Tess, it sparked something inside me and from that point on, I had a desire to one day have my own dog. I included a dog on my Christmas and
birthday lists for five years, but every year I was left disappointed. Nevertheless, my parents were warming up to the idea of having a dog, evaluating
different breeds to try and find a perfect fit for our family. Eventually, my parents took us to look at dogs, but none of them seemed to suit our needs.
It was late afternoon on an enjoyable, mild June day at the baseball field. As we commenced our journey home I realized we were headed in the wrong
direction.
"Where are we going?" I asked, looking at my parents in confusion.
"We are going to look at some puppies," Mom explained excitedly.
Realization dawned on me. We were getting a puppy! "What kind of dog are we going to look at?" I questioned with excitement.
"A cockapoo," stated Mom anxiously.

Examples Of Freedom In The Call Of The Wild
What does the book The Call of the Wild conjure in your imagination? It might only remind you of the adventures in the North, the dogs that helped
the men, and the harsh condition, but it is much more than that. It shows you how to be strong even in darkest of times and it also shows you that
total freedom is not always the best. Buck, the main character, is used to living in California until one day he is taken away from his family. He is
taken to the North and is taught how to be a wild dog and how to survive. During that time he gets a lot of freedom and finds his true self. In The
Call of the Wild, Jack London's main message is that freedom has both its advantages and disadvantages, and that there's no perfect situation in life.
First, through the character Buck, Jack London wants to show us some of the advantages of being wild and free. After Buck is taken to the North,
he has some difficulties surviving and taking care of himself. He is not used to being a wild dog, since he used to live with his family in California.
As time passes by, he realizes that it isn't that bad and starts enjoying his new opportunites. London writes, "The dominant primordial beast was strong
in Buck, and under the fierce condition of trail life it grew and grew. Yet it was a secret growth. His newborn cunning gave him poise... Show more

Sometimes life may not turn out as planned and expected. This story is related to real life in a couple of ways. Even though the story is about wild
dogs and adventures in the North, we can connect it to the modern world. Every single one of us has experienced some sort of freedom. For example
when you go out with friends. You probably feel like you can do what you want, but then in reality you might be a little scared or paranoid going out
alone. Freedom and the wilderness are not always as

Short Story Of 'Where The Red Fern Grows'
In the beginning of the story "Where The Red Fern Grows" a boy named Billy saw a group of dogs fighting on the street. Billy stopped the dogs
from fighting and noticed a red hound all beat up. He took the hound home, fed him, washed him, and released him. This made him remember his old
days of owning a hound. When Billy was 10 he wanted two hunting hounds, but his family couldn't afford it. Billy had a sickness called puppy love
so he couldn't help asking for puppies. One day he saved and worked for his money to get two puppy hounds. He named the dogs Old Dan and Little
Ann. Billy and his dogs had so many adventures of hunting raccoons. Billy once caught a ghost raccoon that has never been caught before all thanks to
his dogs. Billy's dogs help him become a coon hunting expert! The dogs would never let a coon go even if it was a stormy night. Old Dan and
Little Ann were Billy's best friends. They would always stick together and never leave each other. One day Billy's grandfather signed him up for a
raccoon hunting competition. Billy was super excited and his dogs were too. Papa, grandpa, and the hounds all went hunting with Billy. They all
stayed at a campsite and ate their breakfast. That morning, Billy got his first cup of coffee. It made him feel older and excited to have his very first
cup of coffee. After breakfast, Billy and his hound started to go hunt some coons for the competition. They only needed 3 coons to hunt, but suddenly
there was a storm coming. It

Open Fields Of Grace Analysis

  • 1. Open Fields Of Grace Analysis The book Radiance by Alyson Noel is a novel about a girl who left her sister, Ever, and crossed the bridge into the afterlife. The song that best connected to this book was "Open Fields of Grace" by Jackie Evancho. The theme, Life may have its challenging times but, adventures, love, and friendships are ready to be made can be applied to both Radiance and "Open Fields of Grace." When you pass away, your journey is thought to end but actually is not over, as there is still an afterlife. Like Riley, who can still see her family and dog in a place called "Here". She has picked up where she left off and continues to live her life to the fullest. Riley Bloom is a 12 year old girl who got in an unfortunate car crash and was killed. She goes on to an adventure to catch souls that didn't cross the bridge... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "When tears are but a memory, we'll run to God like children free." (lines 17–19) This line conveys the message that when you're in heaven, you are still alive and have flashbacks of your memories. You'll be free and have God by your side. "No longer were you broken, or in pain the wind blew kisses through your hair you laughed with beauty, unaware." (lines 1–3) After her car accident, Riley's pain came to an end and she had a beautiful and grateful life, feeling more alive than she had ever been in her life. Straight into the shimmering mist between two worlds until she found her place, Here. "Dancing in God's delight as night fades away, last night I saw you running in the open fields of grace. Someday I will be running there with you." (lines 22–26) When you are in heaven watching over people seeing them and what they are doing makes you realize how important life really is. Someday the people you love the most will be there with you. The song, "Open Fields of Grace" describes to you what they believe heaven is actually like and creates an image in the reader's mind to know what Riley may have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Essay Comparing Heart Of Darkness And Apocalypse Now If a person feels strongly about their beliefs, if they are not careful, they can suffer from a heightened sense of self–worth. The greatest struggle a person can go through is trying to get out of their own heads and stop themselves from feeling above anybody else, because in the end, each person deserves the same treatment because they all born the same and they will all suffer the same fate in the end. Heart of Darkness, written by Joseph Conrad, and Apocalypse Now, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, both feature a similar scene that demonstrates how cruel, violent human relation can never be justified because, in the end, each and every person is on the same level. Both of the Apocalypse Now and Heart of Darkness scenes display how the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Both scenes portray their main character as one with little care or emotion attached to what is going on around them, even though they are in a perilous situation. "Willard" from Apocalypse Now acts relatively normal after the natives attack his crew, as if nothing actually happened. Similarly, "Marlow" from Heart of Darkness shows little reaction to the death of the Mad Helmsman, even describing the scene simply as "A pool of blood lay very still, gleaming dark–red..." (Conrad 106). He doesn't show any wild reaction or emotion towards what he saw. In contrast, the crews in both scenes react wildly to the situation. The crew in Apocalypse Now speak frantically towards each other, yelling out "Clean! Captain, Clean's hit! He's hit!" and "Where'd the dog go? Where's the dog? We gotta go back and get the dog!" The Heart of Darkness crew reacts similarly, with the manager, shocked at the body of the Mad Helmsman, yells out, "Good God" (Conrad 106). Willard and Marlow both understood that this would happen, and that any person could suffer this fate, which is something the rest of their crews failed to realize, which is why their reactions differed so ... • 3. Personal Narrative Fiction They all say I'm crazy. I'm not crazy I just see things differently, that's all. Not anything particularly different, I just like to tell myself that I'm not like anyone else, which of course is true. Jean isn't like anyone else either. Jean is different, like me of course. • 4. Analysis Of Mark Twain 's Adventures Of Tom Sawyer Mark Twain's Adventures of Tom Sawyer addresses the fear of the citizens of the newly reborn nation after the war between the states and what changes await for them, in correlation to the children as the fearful citizens and their exposure to society or the adult world as the reborn nation. Children fear of what lies ahead in the adult world as the citizens of the reborn nation fear what exists in a united nation. Twain's sepulchral imagery conjures up the spine–chilling mood of a child when faced with a part a ugly truth of reality, which hints at the agitation of the citizens after the war between the states. Explain How The Lessons Learned In The Call Of The Wild Lessons in The Call Of The Wild In the adventure story The Call Of The Wild by Jack London, Buck is taken to be a sled dog during the Klondike Gold Rush. Buck learns several different lessons, which validates that there are multiple themes. Buck learns the effort of leadership, the requirements of survival, and the power of instinct. Buck learned the effort of leadership. After being in the pack for some time, Buck killed Spitz and expected to be the leader of the pack the day after. At first thought, Francois did not want Buck to lead the sled, but Buck thought that he should "have the leadership. It was his right. He had earned it, and he would not be content with less (London, 81)." After trying to gain leadership for quite some time, Buck knew that he earned it. • 6. My Personal Aspects Of Reading : My Love For Reading You don't realize how life–changing reading is until you actually crack open a book and read it with good intentions. Reading has always been up and down for me. I loved reading as a child; I would stay up late reading until you could see the sunrise. But of course, when you get older, cliques, peer pressure, and the middle school to high school life causes you to stray away from it. I had a time in my life where every book was my enemy. However, all of that changed when I entered my sophomore of high school. My reading journey started when I was in preschool. I went to a learning center in Windom, Minnesota. Windom had a small population, most of which were the elderly, which meant my preschool class was small. Since the classroom was small, my teacher had more time one–on–one with her students. I remember one day I picked up a book about Clifford, the big red dog, and his owner. My teacher sat next to me watching while I opened the softcover novel and began to read the words on the pages. I couldn't read all of the words but it was the first time I felt like I could read on my own without my teachers help. This is what sparked my love for reading. Throughout the years I would come to love more books and spend more time reading than anything else. This all changed when I entered sixth grade. I was in Honors English 6 which meant we had harder novels to choose from than the regular classes. I had never heard of the books that were given as options for the assigned ... From Del Toro's Pan Labyrinth, it is connected to Ofelia when she saw the fairy tales in the wood. I am applying Fairytales as rabbit. When the rabbit hopped away and disappeared in hole, Alice was upset because she thought that it was supposed to guide her to the world that she has created just like Ofelia. In my personal experience as a kid, every time I see a rabbit or squirrel, I used to go after them. All the times, they went in the hole or in the wood. According to Carroll 1865, p. 8, when the White Rabbit came near her, she began in a low, timid voice, "If you please, Sir–––––" The White Rabbit started violently, dropped the white kid–gloves and the fan, and scurried away into the darkness as fast as he could go. • 17. Racism, Prejudice, And Discrimination The movie we watched to see ageism was Up. The definition of ageism, from Meriam Webster, is prejudice or discrimination against a particular age–group, especially the elderly. In my opinion, we can also see it against young people. We can see when a job is hiring, they might not hire someone because they are too young, and they might think they are unprofessional. We can also see ageism in the Bible. Proverbs 23:22 says, "Listen to your father who begot you, and do not despise your mother when she is old." I have said this in multiple papers, but God has created us all equally and we should treat everybody with respect. In the movie, we saw the main character, Mr. Fredricksen, acting like a typical "old man." We saw him acting grumpy and irritable. When Russell, a young boy scout, came to his house to help him, Mr. Fredricksen denied everything that Russell offered. We saw how they do not get along, so Mr. Fredricksen sent him off to look for a bird that does not exist, and assumed he would not come back. We also heard some ageist remarks throughout the movie. At the beginning of the movie, the two men taking him to the retirement home made a comment about how Mr. Fredricksen probably had to go to the bathroom for the 80th time. We also saw how the dogs smelled prunes and denture cream, which were the smell of Mr. Fredricksen. It's been a rough ride here and there, but the view is great and I am ecstatic and ready for the adventures that will cross my path. When I was young, the environment and my neighborhood were both chaotic. I grew up seeing so much negativity. You'd think it was Fourth of July or New Years nearly every night with all the shots being fired. My neighbors were constantly fighting, arguing, and some occasionally threw eggs towards the place where I felt safe. Now that I look back on my childhood, I understand why I was afraid to come out of my shell, however, I did take comfort in the little things. Though it is interesting to see an insight of his personal life, people looking for more of an insight of the war could get annoyed at how much personal writing there is. It's not the big adventure story some people may be looking for. This novel really lets you see the cruelty and brutality of the war. He talks about the war crimes committed, the death and destruction that takes place in normal combat, firefights and getting shot at, and the toll all of this takes on him and his comrades. Lloyd really makes you understand what war crimes and ethnic cleansing are all about.
