2. To start my double page spread I had to make the layout accurate for the
page as it had to have 3 columns and it had to be facing pages, therefore
these changes had to be made as show above on the ‘New Projuct’.
Which I used on QuarkXPress to produce my double page spread.
3. To produce this into a
double page spread it
would have to have
two pages so I
inserted two blank
faces.
Which produces
this.
4. For my double page spread I have used
Harry Strachan as I had interviewed him
however I though a black and white theme
would stand out more when making other
words stand out on the page therefore I
had changed the colour of the picture of
this image on Photoshop as it allowed me
to change the colour contrast and
brightness so I could adjust my picture to a
good potential.
5. I inserted my image on QuarkXPress, to import an image on this software I had to
insert it by creating a square box which then I pressed the right hand on my mouse
which then gave me the options of importing an image (as shown above). This
imported the image in the square box, I had to then scale the image which made it the
accurate size after a few trials.
6. I produced the masthead of my double page spread on the same software
QuarkXPress by using the text box. Therefore this allowed me to create
different sections of each word I used for my masthead as I had created
them individually so I was able to change the size of each text and colours to
make some words stand out from others ( I used red as it anchors rock). The
font I used for my masthead for my double page spread is ‘Tahoma’ as
shown above, and the size 44pt as I thought it would be the most suitable
and would apply the best.
7. I inserted the text by using
the text box, to use the text
box and make the columns
equal I had firstly written the
text on Microsoft therefore I
could just import it.
9. Number page
added with text
box.
I inserted this as image to be
exactly the same as the
masthead of my magazine
therefore I imported it and
decreased the size of the
picture by using the option of
scaling it to the box shape.
