Abstract: Background: Immunization is one of the most cost-effective interventions with proven strategies to reach the vulnerable populations. It is also a proven tool for controlling and eliminating life threatening infectious diseases. It also prevents illness, disability and deaths from vaccine preventable diseases averting estimated 2-3 million deaths each year. Method: A descriptive survey research design was adopted, one hundred 100 nursing mothers were used for the study. The instruments used for the study was a self-structured questionnaire. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the sample for the study. Data collected were analysed using frequency, counts and percentage table for demographic information. Result: The findings of the study revealed that behaviour/attitude of healthcare workers and lack of enough information were determinants of incomplete routine immunization, while life style, religion and belief were not determinants of incomplete routine immunization. However, level of education, distance to health facility, life style, religion and belief were jointly determinants of incomplete routine immunization among nursing mothers in Jericho specialist hospital. Conclusion: Based on the findings of the study; it is therefore recommended that State Government and Philanthropists should assist in building more health care facilities close to the communities for easy accessibility. Effort should be geared towards public campaign using local dialect to encourage them to complete routine immunization. In addition, community mobilization should be strengthening especially among nursing mothers to be fully informed about the merits of completing the routine immunization and to avert childhood morbidity and mortality in our society.

Immunizations are too costly for vulnerable populations whose medical insurance does not cover them. Due to the exorbitant expense of these vaccines in private hospitals and pharmacies, these individuals cannot access them. Adult vaccines may also be unavailable due to the inability of the most vulnerable individuals to travel to distant public health centers in quest of vaccinations. For doctors and pharmacists to purchase vaccines from pharmaceutical companies, a large amount of funds is necessary. In addition, they require funding for the purchase of new, high-tech storage facilities, as the preservation of vaccines requires the usage of specific substances. Pharmaceutical businesses need funding for disease-related research and the installation of intricate systems for creating and monitoring vaccinations. In addition, they need cash to purchase huge, specialized storage containers so that vaccines are accessible everywhere. To provide vaccines to the public, health insurance companies require funding to meet the vaccine administration needs of their consumers. Taking the financial demands of stakeholders into account when making decisions about low adult immunization rates can assist assure optimal vaccine supply and distribution, enhanced following and monitoring requirements, and vaccine availability. Consideration of the requests will result in shared provider contacts and public-private partnerships, which will speed up adult immunization. Financial Influence The primary financial stakeholders are pharmaceutical corporations, which conducted the research, developed the vaccines, and brought them to market. The patient's financial situation is gently adjusted despite the moral obligation of pharmaceutical companies to ensure that the market can afford their product; the patient, as the product's recipient, experiences hidden impacts. It is essential to be aware of these elements in order to develop an effective health policy. If the underlying reasons for the problem are not addressed, it is impossible to find a remedy. The role of government is to ensure equality for all citizens while safeguarding commercial interests. Coalition Proposal Vaccination Policy for Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Scope of the Problem Vaccines have done an excellent job at preventing many diseases, some of which can be deadly if not prevented. When bacteria or viruses enter the body, they immediately begin to attack and multiply, which then causes an infection. The immune system will then fight off the infection and establish antibodies, which will help recognize and fight off the same disease in the future. For this very reason, it has been important for children to be vaccinated at an early age so that they may establish those antibodies their bodies need. Vaccines act as the disease so that the body may produce antibodies, but the good thing is that it won’t cause an infection (CDC, 2017). There are current policies that mandate vaccinations in the U.S., for example, all children are required to be up to date on their vaccines before beginning school. The problem is that there are many loopholes and exceptions to the rule, whether it’s due to religious reasons or other medical issues. Because of this, there are still many children and adults who have yet to be fully compliant with vaccine requirements Some important statistics to note (Johns Hopkins Medicine): · CDC estimated 2,700 new cases of hepatitis A in the U.S. · It is estimated that in 2011, 19,000 new cases of hepatitis B and 17,000 cases of hepatitis C occurred. · In 2012, nearly 10,000 new cases of tuberculosis were reported. · Approximately 36,000 people per year die from influenza and pneumonia. · 50,000 new cases of HIV infection occur annually. · In 2012, new cases of STD’s were reported, including HPV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, and Syphilis. Who is affected by this problem? Identify. Children are mainly affected by this problem due to parents’ hesitancy for vaccinations. Although law mandates for children to be vaccinated for school enrollment, parents have the option to use exemptions to avoid having their children vaccinated. Currently, medical exemptions are allowed for medical reasons in all states, and it is estimated that one to three percent of children are excused from vaccinations because of these exemptions. Parents have continued to use reasons to avoid vaccinations, for example, the belief that the decline in vaccine-preventable diseases is due to improved health care, hygiene, and sanitation (Ventola, C. L., 2016). Health disparities among Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites have played a huge role in terms of vaccination coverage. Studies have shown that health insurance has a direct impact on the vaccination coverage in adults, therefore, low-income families who can’t afford health insurance will most likely not get the vaccines they need. With that being said, uninsured prevalence was higher among non-Hispanic blacks (19.5%) and Hispanics (30.1%) compared with non-Hispanic whites (11.1%) (Lu, P., et al, 2015). As provided for by Republic Act No. 10918, there is an impending need to train community pharmacists in the provision of direct immunization services in the community, in addition to their perceived roles in dispensing and patient counselling. This study seeks to identify problem areas that limit or impede the roles of community pharmacists in the actual administration of routine adult vaccines. A validated semistructured questionnaire based on the Likert scale was designed to assess respondent pharmacists in the areas of dispensing, information systems, vaccine administration and perception on the general concepts of immunization. The respondents highly agreed that they have sufficient information concerning delivery of immunization services in the community and are highly receptive to the provisions of appropriate trainings in vaccine administration. However, there are further needs for trainings on safe and effective parenteral vaccine administration and delivery as well as good dispensing practices for biological products. For example, encouraging people to protect themselves from the sun's ultraviolet rays is an example of primary prevention of skin cancer. Other examples in primary prevention include well baby clinics, HIV community education efforts, and programs that discourage substance abuse. In the community, this may involve fitness events, water fluoridation, or even efforts to install sidewalks near schools.” .

Th e main reason of this study is to test the interest rate impact on investment in Jiangsu Province of China. Jiangsu has the largest quantity of investment in China. For long run, nexus Johansen Co-integration test is employed. Whereas, vector er- ror correction model (VECM) is used to fi nd short run association over the period of 2003-2012. Th e results indicate that there is a long-term relationship association among variables. It has negative relation in the long run but positive in short run. Th is research also produces suggestions that will help in terms of interest rate policy as well as improving investment that promotes economic growth in Jiangsu Province. Th erefore, a change in interest rates is one of the main factors to judge the macroeconomic situation and the interest rate trend analysis is the main method to predict the macroscopic economic situation. Western economists believe that the market rate of interest, the total social savings and investment are closely linked. Th erefore, the current interest rates aff ect the investment activities. At the same time, current interest rates also aff ect the scale of investment in the future by adjusting the savings. If the interest rate rises, bond prices fall, if the interest rate falls, bond prices rise. Th e infl uence of interest rate on investment scale is operate as the opportunity cost of investment on total investment, Under the condition of unchanged in investment income, the rising interest rates increase the cost of investment and then inevitably cause lower income investors to withdraw from the area of investment, so that the demand for investment is reduced. Suppliers are also required to display our Standards for Suppliers in the local language in all factories where products are made for us, so workers know our expectations of suppliers and factory management. —Walmart 2014 Global Responsibility Report, Statement on Compliance and Sourcing Walmart, the world’s largest corporation in 2015, invests in “comprehensive social audits across our global supply chain.” Its factory audits—reportedly often unannounced—are conducted by “independent accredited and internationally recognized auditing firms.” Factories are then said to be reaudited every six to twenty-four months, based on the results. On November 24, 2012, a fire at the Tazreen Fashion apparel factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh, claimed 112 lives and injured 200 others, making it the deadliest factory fire in the history of a country long plagued by factories fires. Workers found themselves trapped by the absence of safe and accessible fire exits, windows blocked by iron grills, a lack of adequate fire preparedness training, and the fact that the building was at the time under construction: five additional stories were being added to the original three-story structure, even as garment production continued as usual. In this unsafe environment, ten workers perished on Tazreen’s fifth floor, where they were sewing Walmart’s Faded Glory shorts. Walmart, one of the many companies producing garments at the factory (Maquila Solidarity Network 2012b), 1 claimed it was unaware that its Faded Glory shorts were being sewn at Tazreen through a subcontracting arrangement. Yet the factory’s owner reported that Walmart’s local office had audited the factory a year earlier, finding only problems with excessive overtime. 8 | New Scientist | 4 January 2020 THE tropics are the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Now there is evidence that they are also the main source of evolutionary innovation and diversity. Complex animals have dominated Earth for 541 million years, a time span called the Phanerozoic eon. Huge numbers of species have evolved and gone extinct during this time, in a complex story that includes fish, giant reptiles and whales. However, in the 1980s palaeontologist John Sepkoski analysed the overall pattern of evolution in the sea, where the fossil record is best. He concluded that marine evolutionary history could be broken down into three supergroups, which he called “great evolutionary faunas”. The first group was dominated by trilobites, which resembled woodlice, and bristle worms; the second by shellfish-like creatures called brachiopods; and the third by molluscs, which have persisted to the present day. Other animals like land mammals probably followed similar patterns, but their fossil record isn’t complete enough for us to know. Now, by analysing nearly 18,300 marine genera from the Phanerozoic fossil record, Alexis Rojas-Briceno of Umeå University in Sweden and his colleagues have found that the evolution of complex marine life is best described using four great groups of fauna, not three (bioRxiv, doi.org/dg98). The first supergroup existed between 541 and 494 million years ago, spanning the Cambrian explosion in which many animal groups first emerged. As in the original analysis, trilobites dominated. The second supergroup, dubbed the Palaeozoic, lasted from 494 to 252 million years ago. Creatures with hard outer shells were now widespread, including brachiopods. This phase ended when the end- Permian extinction wiped out almost all complex life on Earth. This matches Sepkoski’s analysis, but the new study splits his third great fauna into two. In this version, the third supergroup is called the Mesozoic. It began in the wake of the Permian extinction and ended 129 million years ago, in the middle of the dinosaur era. This time cephalopods, the group that includes squid and octopuses, were the rulers. The fourth and final supergroup, the Cenozoic, is still dominant today. During this time, clams and snails have made up much of the diversity. The team found that all four supergroups originated in the tropics, then expanded through the oceans. This is in line with the idea that the tropics are hotbeds of evolutionary innovation, which has been promoted by David Jablonski at the University of Chicago. You may even have had to formulate one for a research project you did for another class, or you may have read one or two in a journal article. If so, then you probably have a good idea what a hypothesis is. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this often-used term, a hypothesis is basically “an educated guess.” Its most important role is to reflect the general problem statement or question that was the motivation for asking the research question in the first place. That’s why taking the care and time to formulate a really precise and clear research question is so important. This research question will guide your creation of a hypothesis, and in turn, the hypothesis will determine the techniques you will use to test it and answer the question that was originally asked.
