This document describes a rainwater harvesting system implemented at Mustaqim Dyeing & Printing Industries Pvt, Ltd. The system collects rainwater from the 6216 square foot roof into a 1000 liter storage tank. It is estimated that this small system will save 220 gallons of water per month and 2,640 gallons per year. The material cost for the system was 1500 rupees and it is estimated to pay for itself within 5 months based on the water savings. Proper rainwater harvesting can help augment groundwater levels and is an effective water conservation method.
2. We have done a lot of water conservation Project like
Tap reducer , Ac water Reuse , Softener Drain water
Reuse, Reduction in Flush water etc but this project
reflects that how much serious we are to save our
resources or how much serious we are to conserve
our environment . Although this is a small project but
we take initiate to sustain our environment as much
as we can.
3. Rainwater harvesting is a technology used for collecting and storing rainwater
from rooftops, the land surface or rock catchments using simple techniques such
as jars and Drums as well as more complex techniques such as underground
check dams. The techniques usually found in Asia and Africa .
4. This method is less expensive and very effective and if
implemented properly helps in augmenting the ground water
level of the area

20. Do not waste your rainwater because rainwater harvesting is possible in about
80 per cent of the land of Karachi, said Indian geologist Dr Amar N Joshi on
Monday.
21. Rain water harvesting a combination of three words is a modern
efficient technique to store rainwater in a considerable magnitude in a
manner that is always helpful for the victims
