Mechanism of Load-Shedding Prediction in Smart Power Grids B.Tech. Project ongoing
Research & prototype development involving embedded systems, signal processing and machine learning
Guide: Dr. Kumar Padmanabh
Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring in Smart Grids Feb-Apr’17
Built a smart electricity meter using Arduino UNO, Current and Voltage Transformers
Classification algorithms run on data from smart meter desegregated and identified load with an accuracy rate of 98%
Software used – Proteus, Arduino IDE, Minicom; Programming Languages used – C, EasyHDL
Music Recognition Tool Mar’17
Created a tool to accurately recognise music by finding correlation across multiple audio samples in MATLAB
Extended functionality to mix multiple audio tracks and generate stereo music
Object Detection using SONAR based systems [Report] 3rd
year Mini Project Aug-Nov’16
Built a SONAR based system that determined position, size and count of objects placed in its vicinity
Developed live graphical display of objects along with all parameters on a computer screen using Processing
Increased accuracy of measurements to 88% from 30% by calibrating ultrasonic sensor & servo motor and refining
algorithm of Arduino and Processing codes
Made a detailed & comprehensive report of the project in LaTeX to help a beginner understand and take up the project
Hardware Used – Arduino, Ultrasonic sensor, Servo motor; Software Used – Processing, Arduino IDE, TeXStudio
