1. TITLE- Malaysia doesn’t have an official name.
2. The 14 strips on the flag mean status in the federation of the 13 member
states. The 14 points of the star represents the unity between these
entities The crescent means Islam. Blue is the unity of the Malaysian
people. Yellow is the royal color of the Malay rulers. Red, White and Blue
represents Malaysia as a country belonging in the commonwealth.
3. There's 2 parts of the country, the peninsular Malaysia to the west, and to
the east there’s the eastern malaysian part. The Malaysia peninsula is
south of Thailand, north of Singapore and east of the Indonesian island of
Sumatra. East Malaysia close to the northern part of Borneo Island,
borders shared with Brunei to the north and Indonesia to the north.

13. With Malaysia being so close to the equator, it is hot and humid

dangerous because it causes increasing of sea levels and rainfall,

18. Nasi lemak is considered the national dish of Malaysia. It is served
peanuts, sliced cucumber, hard boiled eggs, anchovies, and sambal,
which is a hot sauce or paste.
19. They started building in 1993, completed the building in 1996. The
buildings are 1,483ft (451.9m) tall. They were the tallest buildings in the
world from 1998 to 2004. They are currently the tallest twin towers in the
world at the moment.

The mountain and the surroundings are one the most important biological
sites in the world, with between 5,000 and 6,000 species of plants, 326

takes it name by Sungai Batu which is a river that flows past the hill. The
cave is one of the most popular Tamil shrines outside India, and is

South Eastern Asia. The Portuguese would then colonize Malacca. Then
in 1641 the Dutch would gain control of Malacca. The area would be
called Dutch Malacca. The Dutch rule for almost 185 years and was a
pretty peaceful time between the 2 countries. Malacca was apart of the
Dutch East India Company, also known as VOC.
24. The Europeans traders discovered the tin mines in northern Malaya.
Malaya had economic importance to Europe in the 18th century. The tea
trade between China and United Kingdom increased the demand for high-
quality Malayan tin, which was used to line tea-chests. Malyan pepper
also had a high reputation in Europe.
25. After the rule of the Dutch, Britain would soon after colonize Malaya
territories. Then in August 31st, 1957, is when the Federation of Malaya
declared independence from the British Empire.
