NRAM is a non-volatile memory technology that uses carbon nanotubes deposited on a substrate. It offers advantages over other technologies like DRAM by being faster, denser, and lower power. NRAM stores data by positioning the carbon nanotubes using an electric field and can retain data without power. While promising advantages, NRAM remains more expensive than other technologies and is still in the research phase.
