This is a power point slideshow i made for my school presentation.
People say "You Only Live Once", so why would the teenagers want to kill themselves? Well, let's find out from this presentation and see what can we do to prevent this or control this.
2. Suicide is the act of intentionally causing
one's own death.
The most commonly used method of
suicide varies by country and is partly related to
availability.
There are an estimated 10 to 20
million non-fatal attempted suicides every year.
Suicide resulted in 842,000 deaths in 2013
up from 712,000 deaths in 1990.
4. BULLYING
Bullying in school
Pranks to name calling
Bullied teens feels worthless
Cannot confess to anyone
End up taking their own lives
5. DIVORCE
Divorced single parents blames the
young ones.
Teens believe to be the reason for their
parents to divorce
Assumption of their parents being happy
without them around
6. DRUG ABUSE
Bad company and peer pressure
Small experiment turns into addiction
Illegal activities for their fulfillment
Alcohols and drugs are slow poisons
7. EMOTIONAL NEGLECT
Parents way too busy for spending time
with their kids
This makes them feel alone and
forgotten
They feel like their existence makes no
real difference at all
This neglect has a worse effect on
teenagers
8. DOMESTIC ABUSE
Physically and mentally abused by one
or members of their family
The abusers blame the teens for whatever
may be wrong
Some survive to have healthy adult lives
Some go on to experience more violence
Others decide to end their lives there and
then
9. SEXUAL ABUSE
Many teens grow up with being sexually
abused
This affects both physically and mentally
for long period of time
The abused victims also becomes the
community's outcast
This leads to frustration and giving up
their life
10. STRESS
Pressure at school to get good grades
This pressure is increased by parents and
families
Maintaining this is not always easy
When the pressure gets too much many
teens decide to take the pressure off once
and for all.
11. CYBER-BULLYING
Teenagers spend most of their time on
internet
A lot of teens gets mocked for liking or
disliking something
Starts believing they are worthless as
others says
Some fight against it to get free
Weak hearted teenagers cannot take it
anymore and eventually give up
