SMART Stanford College Goals:
In order to get into Stanford University at a price I can afford I need to maintain an average 3.8
unweighted GPA while taking classes of difficulty and get at least an average 1450 on the SAT or 32 on the
ACT. If I do this I will get $0 in merit based scholarships.
I also need to get at least $12,801 in private based scholarship my senior year.
Other consideration that I need to consider for this based on my research are as follows:
1. Take most of the AP/Honors classes, get 5's on all the AP exams, and graduate in the top 5% of your
class.
2. Study for the PSAT become a national merit scholar and get at least a 1450 on your SAT.
3. Take the SAT II Math subject test and Physics subject test scoring at least 720+ on each. 
4. Create an online STEM related club and blog with 2000+ subscriber and bi-weekly online speakers.
5. Compete in US Math Olympiad and make it into the top 1000 - 2000 rankings or better and/or
compete in the Intel Science and Engineering Fair and rank in the top 100. 
Example 1-year Stanford goals for 9th
grade.
1. Take AP Bio, Hon Alg 2, Hon English, AP History, and Spanish 2 and get all A’s with
room for one B. Get a 5 on the AP exam.
2. Take the SAT 2 for Biology and score at least 720 or higher.
3. Start a blog focused on STEM related topics and get at least 250 subscribers.

Example semester/quarterly Stanford goals:
1. Higher a tutor to meet with once per week to hold me
accountable and ensure I maintain A’s in all my classes.
2. Research how to start a blog, get a domain name, develop a
website, and write my first article before the end of the
semester. 
3. Create a Facebook group, invite 20 friends who are interested in
STEM related topics, ask parents who participate in STEM related
topics to provide a Google hangout speech once per week that all
students can join in on. ​

SAT score and ACT of 29. They also have a personal statement.

SMART ASU College Goals:
In order to get into ASU at a price I can afford I need to maintain an average 3.6 unweighted
GPA while taking classes of does not apply and get at least an average 1320 on the SAT or
28 on the ACT. If I do this I will get $32,000 in merit based scholarships.
I also need to get at least $5,856 in private based scholarship my senior year.
Other consideration that I need to consider for this based on my research are as follows:
1. No additional information since I am currently a senior and not looking to get into
Barrett Honors College.
Example 1-year ASU goals for 12th
grade.
1. Increase my GPA to 3.6 by doing the following:
1. Retake my 9th
grade Spanish class that I got a D in and get an A.
2. Get a 3.8 GPA this year by getting all A’s and two B’s in my classes.
2. Increase my SAT score from 1150 to 1320.
3. Apply and get $6,000 in private based scholarships.

Example semester/summer ASU goals:
1. Higher a tutor to meet twice per week to ensure I maintain all A’s and two B’s in my
math, Spanish, chemistry, history, and English class. Tutor should focus on my math and
chemistry the most.
2. Get a SAT prep tutor and meet once per week for 3 months to help increase my score
from a 1150 to a 1320. Take the SAT test in December.
3. Create a personal website highlighting my accomplishments and apply to 10 private
based scholarships over the course of the next 3 months.
4. Apply to ASU by December 15th

Setting Goals: College SMART Stanford College Goals: In order to get into Stanford University at a price I can afford I need to maintain an average 3.8 unweighted GPA while taking classes of difficulty and get at least an average 1450 on the SAT or 32 on the ACT. If I do this I will get $0 in merit based scholarships. I also need to get at least $12,801 in private based scholarship my senior year. Other consideration that I need to consider for this based on my research are as follows: 1. Take most of the AP/Honors classes, get 5's on all the AP exams, and graduate in the top 5% of your class. 2. Study for the PSAT become a national merit scholar and get at least a 1450 on your SAT. 3. Take the SAT II Math subject test and Physics subject test scoring at least 720+ on each.  4. Create an online STEM related club and blog with 2000+ subscriber and bi-weekly online speakers. 5. Compete in US Math Olympiad and make it into the top 1000 - 2000 rankings or better and/or compete in the Intel Science and Engineering Fair and rank in the top 100. 
  • 8. Example 1-year Stanford goals for 9th grade. 1. Take AP Bio, Hon Alg 2, Hon English, AP History, and Spanish 2 and get all A’s with room for one B. Get a 5 on the AP exam. 2.
