Final Project

2. Currently..
Technology and the use of it is all around
us. It’s in our homes, school and work
places, even in our cars. We can do
almost do anything on our phones, start a
car or video chat from anywhere. One
may wonder what else we could to
advance technology..
3. Currently in School
Currently today technology is being used
in the class room more than ever. Some
have even been using lap tops in the
class room, and eBooks instead of text
books.
4. In the future : iLearn
In 2024 you wont need notebooks, books and
pencils. It will all be done on a laptop
All textbooks will be available on a laptop.
Schools will provide the students with a laptop
they are responsible for, the can buy insurance
coverage incase anything was to happen.
They will have built in Wi-Fi, This would allow for the
students to work on their school work anywhere.
Virtual classrooms will also be used in Universities,
this one mean you would use video chat to be
apart of a classroom
5.
6. Social Learning Theory
Social learning theory posits that learning is a
cognitive process that takes place in a social
context and can occur purely through
observation or direct instruction, even in the
absence of motor reproduction or direct
reinforcement. In addition to the observation of
behavior, learning also occurs through the
observation of rewards and punishments, a
process known as vicarious reinforcement. The
theory expands on traditional behavioral theories
in which behavior is governed solely by
reinforcements, by placing emphasis on the
important roles of various internal processes in the
learning individual.
7. Social Learning Theory
iLearn relates to social learning because
of the advances in technology it is going
to bring.
This is going to allow for web chats, and
virtual classrooms to take place
anywhere.
You can speak with teachers and
classmates out of the classroom on your
laptop.
8. Currently in Social Life
Many people are familiar with the galaxy
note have a watch that works on a
phone. It allows you to keep up with
some things from your phone on a touch
screen watch..
9. In the Future: Watch Phone
in the year 2024 all smart phones will
come paired with a watch. This watch is
going to go above and beyond. Anything
you can do on your phone you will be
able to do on the watch as well. There will
even be a virtual keyboard. There will be
different sizes and styles to fit everyone's
taste.
10.
11. Critical mass theory:
The critical mass theory deals with how
when a lot of people have something, it
makes everyone want it.
12. Critical Mass Theory:
For example right now people would love
to have a watch phone, but its only
available on the Galaxy Note, and most
people do not like the size. When it
become available to all smart phones,
everyone is going to get it, and those who
do not are going to want it because of
everyone having it.
13. Currently: Internet
Currently so many people depend on Wi-
Fi to power their internet. Wi-Fi is wireless
internet that can work on your laptop,
computer or phone. Wi-fi is not
everywhere you have to have it set up.
14. In the Future: Wi-Fi
In 2024 you will be able to access Wi-Fi
from anywhere.
You will have built in Wi-Fi on your tablets,
computers, laptops and cell phones.
This means you will be able to use these
devices virtually anywhere and at
anytime.
15.
16. Uses and gratifications theory
Uses and gratifications theory (UGT) is an
approach to understanding why and how
people actively seek out specific media
to satisfy specific needs. UGT is an
audience-centered approach to
understanding mass communication.
Diverging from other media effect
theories that question "what does media
do to people?", UGT focuses on "what do
people do with media?”
17. Uses and gratifications theory
How Wi-Fi relates to UGT because Wi-Fi is a
way to satisfy our needs. You see lots of
places today like business, homes, schools,
food places who offer free Wi-Fi. In the future
devices will have Wi-Fi built on them and we
wont need each place to offer Wi-Fi, it will be
similar to how we have 4g and lTE networks on
our cell phones currently. The Wi-Fi will run off
of cell phone towers. It will meet everyones
needs.
18. Conclusion
So as you can see the year 2024 will bring
many advances in our technology. It will
bring advancement to our education,
social and all over everyday life. It will
change the way we learn, communicate
and how we have access to doing so.
