EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of writing this report is to enhance my knowledge on the topic that most interests me.
Fashion photography is an essential part in the fashion world. The scope of writing this report is to
learn all I can about fashion photography and use my findings in the future. I began my research by
referring to some books from the library. Then I referred to the web. I learnt many interesting facts. I

In 1911, photographer Edward Steichen was "dared" by Lucien Vogel, the publisher of Jardin des
Modes and La Gazette du Bon Ton, to promote fashion as a fine art by the use of photography.
Steichen then took photos of gowns designed by couturier Paul Poiret. These photographs were
published in the April 1911 issue of the magazine Art et Decoration.
In the mid 1940's the artists abandoned their rigid forms for a much freer style. In 1936, Martin
Munkacsi made the first photographs of models in sporty poses at the beach. The models in early
fashion photographs were most frequently society ladies and theatre and screen actresses rather than
women working as living mannequins.
Even early fashionistas needed some place to turn for the latest in style information– hence the
publication of fashion magazines. Among the first was Godey's Lady's Book and Harper's.
While early fashion photographers focused simply on taking pictures that made both the clothing
and model look good, they soon evolved to view fashion photography as a great outlet for
expressing their artistic viewpoints. For example, photographers in the early 20th century, such as
Baron de Meyer, generated artistic effects by using a lot of backlighting and soft–focusing. Other
photographers, such as George Hoyningen–Huene and Cecil Beaton, used props. Still others, like
John French and Irving Penn, created images that

Why Worry About A Camera Shake?
Why worry about camera shake?
¥ Photoshop is capable of repairing many flaws and errors, but unfortunately it can't fix everything!
Camera shake can wreak havoc on the sharpness of any image. Lacking a basic understanding of the
exposure triangle, many new photographers fail to realize the significance a steady hand plays in
producing a sharp image. A thorough knowledge of the relationship between shutter speed, aperture,
and ISO is certainly the benchmark of a professional; furthermore, understanding the basics will not
only improve you image quality, but it can also open the door to one's creative potential.
Why does my photo appear blurry or out of focus?
¥ Although many factors may contribute to a blurry photograph, I feel camera shake is by far the
most responsible. Understanding how shutter speed affects image sharpness is essential in producing
a snappy photograph. Simply stated, failing to have a shutter speed fast enough to freeze an object in
the viewfinder may result in a blurry image. Although some photographers have an unbelievably
steady hand, no one is a human tripod; in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Providing sharper images at slower shutter speeds, image stabilization (IS), also known as vibration
reduction (VR), may offer a photographer increased flexibility; however, when it comes to handheld
use, technique, and yes, even one's posture are the most important factors. This amazing tool called
the handheld rule, also known as the reciprocal rule, will undoubtedly greatly improve your
photography. Although advertised as a rule, I encourage using it as more of a guide; conversely, as
with many rules, some may be bent while others can be broken. I do, however, suggest utilizing this
valuable "rule', but under no circumstance should a "rule" stifle one's creativity. When intentionally
introduced into an image, camera shake can add stunning innovative

Customer Service And Customer Satisfaction
Service is defined in many different ways, all of which can be seen as accurate. An example of one
of them pointed out by Cook (2008 p.185) "Customer service is what the customer says it is". This
assignment will be examining the importance of customer service, delivered by business and its
employees and why customer satisfaction is important especially within the service sector. To
illustrate this, an example of a bad customer service that was condoned by myself will be provided.
At the end of last year in summer semester break I flew to my country to unite with my family.
While going there I bought a DSLR camera for my younger brother as a present. After buying the
camera from a Nikon brand now the necessity to buy a lens become inevitable to use the camera. As
because I and my younger have no prior knowledge in buying lens and there are so many choices in
the market upon on the advice from few friends, we went to shop named Gadget & Gear situated
inside of a large shopping mall in our city. The shop was a third party dealer who is not authorized
dealer of Nikon brand but has good reputation as I have heard before. Once I reached in the shop, I
started the usual shopper routine which included checking out the available products on sale,
educating myself on the product differences, and inquiring on the best deals at each store, so that I
could make the best purchase decision as I was completely new with this DSLR camera and its wide
range of lens choices which can make

Comparison Between Canon And Nikon
1. BRAND DEFINITION
"Unique design, sign, symbol, words, or a combination of these, employed in creating an image that
identifies a product and differentiates it from its competitors" (businessdictionary.com). When we
look up the definition of the word "brand" on the internet, the first part of what we get is the
sentence previously cited; however this is not enough to differentiate brand from trademark. The
brand is something more complex than a simple trademark; as Aline Wheeler explains in her book
Designing Brand Identity published in 2012, a brand has an emotional side, something a trademark
does not have, that is important to connect it to the customers so the brand can have a long life and a
trustful relationship with the clients. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Contrary to their competitor Nikon, Canon is more focused on the quality of their products; it
justifies the price slightly higher than Nikon's products. That differentiation with Nikon is also due
to the fact that Nikon's cameras are perfect for artistic purpose; they show it well through their very
emotional and goosebumps worthy ads. On the other hand, Canon is more focused on sports, animal
photography; their cameras are designed for this kind of purpose. Even though they have been trying
to give off some emotional vibes in their advertisement, it is very important that Canon has a
strongly different positioning from Nikon; the two brands are often compared and people generally
hesitate between the two before buying a device – this is the reason why we can find several
different comparison between the two brands' products on the internet. Because of that strong
competition Canon needs to position themselves in a way that potential customers or customers
don't let Nikon gets into their head when it's time to buy a camera.
In a market where all the products are quite similar and always being renewed because of new
technology, a clear positioning is more than important for the

The Pros And Cons Of Ar 15 Scopes
The Top 5 AR 15 Scopes Precision is the name of the game when it comes to shooting, and having

targeting, if you have the best AR 15 scope suited to you and your gear. The AR 15 rifles come in
either semi–automatic or selective fire, and are fed with magazines, air–cool, and have intermediate

quality scope. Even though there are many advantages to this Nikon scope that greatly help your
accuracy, not to mention all of the added benefits, there are some disadvantages, which are listed

in the scope for the crosshairs have become loose after shooting a certain number of rounds, but this

My Experience Using The Retrospective 20

Furthermore, additional storage is available in two front storage compartments and three small sub–
compartments. The main front compartment secures with a hook and loop system, plus offers a large
storage capacity for items such as a 10–inch tablet. Offering maximum versatility and more than
ample storage, this bag does not disappoint.
Material
One must consider many factors when selecting a material for a shoulder bag. Often, expending
little thought to the matter beforehand, it's usually only after making the purchase that issues arise.
Among many thoughts, resistance to weather is a very important aspect for many photographers;
however, the intended use is instrumental in making an informed decision. Available options include
the 100% canvas pinestone and sandstone, as well as the black brushed polyester; additionally,
manufactured with a water repellant coating, either bag becomes a viable option. Purchasing the
pinestone, durability of the material weighed profoundly in my selection, but the look and feel of the
canvas won the day.
Constructed with nylon webbing and thread, the shoulder strap is as comfortable as it is durable.
Additionally, equipped with silicone non slip pads, the shoulder strap adheres extremely well to the
shoulders, plus it's an absolute pleasure to wear ... even for long periods.

My Design Of Sighting A Gun
I. The purpose for my design is to speed up the process of sighting a gun in, the scope to take into
compensate the parabolic launch of a bullet, and to hit to target bulls' eye. Sighting in a gun requires
a long trial and error process that any hunter, marine, or police sniper would agree upon. As a bullet
is fired from a rifle it rises a few inches for about one hundred yards or more where it descends
below the axis of the barrel. The scope looks like any other scope but will account for the parabolic
launch and relocate its self to the correct position for the most accurate shot. Nikon is a company
that produces quality scopes and would be a good contestant for the idea. They support their
products being "brighter, clearer, precise, and rugged, but these are just a few of the attributes
knowledgeable hunters commonly use to describe Nikon riflescopes. Nikon is determined to bring
hunters, shooters, and sportsmen a wide selection of the best hunting optics money can buy– while
at the same time pushing the envelope to create revolutionary capabilities for the serious hunter"
(Nikon). The design would also need an electrical engineer to design the wiring and
microchips/sensors, but a mechanical engineer from Power Electrics would also be needed to fit the
motor for the positioning of the scope. I would like to arrange a meeting for all of us to discuss and
perfect the idea. II. The scope, Buck Slayer by Slade Mills and Nikon, will be about the same size as
any other

born on July 12, 1854 in Waterville, New York. George Eastman is known as a pioneer in
photography. Eastman began supporting his family at the age of 14, dropping out of school and

Affordable Lenses For Portrait Photography
Outline: 5 Affordable Lenses for Portrait Photography
Opener –– After my last post, there were comments that the cameras I referenced were pricey, and
it's true that as a photographer, you can end up spending as much, as barebones as you'd like. To be
sure, you don't have to have expensive gear to take a great picture. With DSLR technology and
lenses the way they are, it's almost like a rebirth for people who specialize in portrait photography.
Here are some cameras I think are solid DSLRs that can take you as intimate with your subject as
you want to go, and leave you with immaculate portraits –– all under $600 (body only).
Nikon D3300 +/– $400
It 's not the most expensive entry–level DSLR, but it has one of the best sensors. These specs are
impressive considering this camera is around $400: APS–C CMOS | Megapixels: 24.2MP | Lens
mount: Nikon DX | Screen: 3–inch, 921,000 dots | Continuous shooting speed: 5fps | Max video
resolution:1080p
Nikon D3400 replaced the Nikon D330, but the D3300 still performs just as good if not better.
Why? Unless you need improved connectivity, the D3300 is very similar to the D3400 and a lot
more affordable. The 24.2MP sensor resolves bags of detail and like much like pricier Nikon
DSLRs, it does away with an anti–aliasing filter to maximise image sharpness. This is also a very
easy camera to live with. Its clever Guide Mode is a useful learning tool that gives real–time
explanations of important features, whilst the collapsible 18–55mm kit

The Experience Of Missing Someone For S3's Protocol
Context:
The experience of missing someone for S3 occurred within the context of leaving her father and

Tone:
The tone in S3's protocol is one of initial excitement mixed with trepidation, however, when she

sorrowful. Her protocol ends on a more positive note, though still with mixed emotions while she

Camera Shake
Don't let a blurry photo from camera shake ruin precious memories!
Photoshop is capable of repairing many flaws and errors, but unfortunately it can't fix everything!
Camera shake can wreak havoc on the sharpness of any image. Lacking a basic understanding of the
exposure triangle, many people fail to realize the significance of a steady hand in producing sharp
images. A thorough knowledge of the relationship between shutter speed, aperture, and ISO is
certainly the benchmark of a professional; hence, understanding the basics will go a long way in
improving your overall image quality.
(Blur pic)
Why is my photo blurry?
Although many factors may contribute to a blurry photograph, I feel camera shake is by far the most
responsible. Understanding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, a 50mm lens on a crop sensor has an angle of view of 31–degrees; thus, the subject
appears closer revealing more blur in the image. Think of it like this, when shooting with a crop
sensor, the image appears cropped due to the smaller sensor and therefore appears to zoom in closer
on the subject; thus, the same amount of camera movement makes the blur more visible in the
cropped image. Multiplying the focal length by the crop factor eliminates this effect in a crop sensor.
Of course, all of this is based on a rule, and I use that term "rule" loosely, that was developed years
ago as a guide in achieving an acceptable level of sharpness in an image.
What is "acceptable sharpness" in an image?
The topic of much debate, acceptable sharpness is certainly subjective. I think every photographer
has an opinion on the subject; nonetheless, I feel the best way to decide what is "acceptable"
sharpness is to view the photograph either on a computer screen or printed at approximately the
same size as an 8x10. Now, when viewed from the perspective of a person looking at the photograph
hanging on a wall, if it looks sharp, it's probably good enough for most of us.
Out of all this stuff, what do need to

Pete Turner Essay
Pete Turner is a famous photographer who was best known for his colored photography.
All of his images combine bold color and graphic design. Turner uses techniques such as using an
intense color palette, geometry, hue and saturation, creating vanishing points, and surrealism.
Turner started taking photos at a young age. He started around 14 years old and used color print and
transparency material. At the start of his career he took pictures when he was drafted into the United
States military service. After discharged from the military, Turner moves to New York and takes
pictures that are featured in National Geographic, Sports Illustrated,

Hue and saturation are major editing techniques Turner utilizes. In the Nikon USA article
Pete Turner: Master of Color Photography, Turner states, "I'll work with color levels and curves, hue
and saturation, but not with filters or composite effects. I don't do any photo composition partly
because I don't like the look of it, and also because it's too easy and too many people are doing it. I
don't like to follow the path of what's trendy." Saturated color helps to emphasize the boldness of his
pictures. He also uses saturation to make parts of his picture more or less bold.
Turner does this to make parts of the picture more apparent than others and this creates vanishing
points. Vanishing points are apparent in all of Pete Turners photos. After saturating parts of the
image and editing it with a digital palette, Turner is able to create vanishing points. Some of the
vanishing points he creates a lot are not straight lines. For example, after he makes a blue and green
that are next to each other bold, he then saturates the area where they meet and this makes the line
blurred and appear not straight anymore. He has done this with people too. Turner makes

Compare and Contrast Nikon with Canon in Digital SLR Cameras
Introduction
Today Nikon and Canon constantly battle for the top position in the digital SLR cameras market.
These two companies were the first to make the leap from film to digital, and their initial
impressions in the market make them the dominant players. Nowadays, a growing number of
individuals want to have their own digital SLR cameras, and it is no longer a luxury to the public.
People always wonder which camera is right for them, and it is a common question when consumers

Part of individuals selects Canon because it has a prominent reputation in industry for years.
Consequently, we should concentrate in particular on the useful functions without much unnecessary
design in our digital SLR cameras.
Unlike Canon, Nikon's innovation focus on setting up a lot of operation system model for speed and
lighting, which makes the Nikon cameras greatly acceptable. From the operating instruction manual,
you can change the capturing model by turning the button, which is on the top of the camera. For
example, you want to capture a running animal on a mountain when you take photos for your
friends, you need to change your camera operation system from portrait model to the speed model
immediately, and then it automatically focus on the animal and capture the moving position in the
LCD screen. That would be quite convenient for beginners to set the automatically model. As for
professional photographer, the point–and–shoot operation with focus area selector seems more
engaged. In addition, when you look at the ads for Nikon camera, no matter from the videos or the
propaganda materials, you can find enough information about how to use it more portably. Ads tell
you the details of the product, and give you many after sales service in all occasions. From a
specialized point of view, Nikon have done a great deal of efforts to make sure that the system is
more flexible and compatible with the lenses. In the user friendliness

G2 Essay
It's not exactly sexy, it's not particularly fast, it's sensor is only 12 megapixels, and it has narrow
dynamic range. The battery drains at an incredible rate, the buffer is paper thin, writing at a pace you

to be sure and doesn't fit in the landscape of today's high speed, high ISO, high def uber cameras.
The G2 was the second generation of a now maturing micro–four–thirds platform. A revelation to be

was capable of it turned into a revelation. The relatively small and inexpensive 20mm lens had
terrific micro–contrast and was sharp! Sharper than any DSLR lens in my bag – and I had good
ones. At wide open apertures, the little 20mm blew the larger Nikon lenses away in sharpness and
clarity! The narrow dynamic range translated into outstanding black and white conversions with lots
of contrast –– and you know how everyone talks about the Olympus color, well, I can verify it,
especially in the blues and yellows. Having discovered the forte of the camera, it earned a place in
my bag – err, pocket and produced terrific, even salable images. At some point, the novelty wore off,
and something new and shiny came along putting me into acquisition mode, and I traded all I had in
my bag for it. Weeks later, I missed the combo and had serious regrets about getting rid of it. Fast

A Brief Note On The Process Of Photography Essay
Process of Photography
The process of photography is very complex since the beginning when it was first invented.
Photography was a form of art invented in the 1830s. Today os is a multi billion dollar industry with
enthusiasts worldwide. The first form of photography was introduced though the form of camera
obscura around the 13th century by an Arabian scholar. It 's a closed box with a hole on the side. The
light goes through the hole and creates an image on the wall of the box. The image was mirrored
upside down which was created by the light. The first ever picture taken from a camera was in 1825
by the inventor Joseph Niepce. The picture was the view out of a window. The first ever color photo
taken was in 1861 by James Clerk Maxwell which was a tartan ribbon. The Kodak Brownie was
invented in 1901 which was the first camera available for purchase. It only took black and white
photos. Color photography wasn 't known until the 19th century. By the year 1982 Sony introduced
the still video camera which changed the game. In 1999 Nikon designed the first ever DSLR camera
which retailed for $5,000. In the year 2000 the first ever camera phone was introduced. Today there
are many DSLR cameras and camera phones. A well recognized photographer, Steve McCurry finds
himself very recognized from his photo of an Afghan girl which he took in a refugee camp in

Rimfire Scopes Essay
Rimfire scopes are perfect for .22 rifles or smaller calibers that have little recoil and work well for
hunting small game. Rimfire rifles and pistols are some of the most popular firearms due to their
affordability and cheaper ammo, and they offer enjoyable experiences to all ages. A rimfire rifle is
the most common rifle that individuals learn to shoot with and it provides a great first experience for
all novice shooters.
General Buying Guide
So, how do you decide which scope works best for your firearm? There are a variety of factors that
you have to think about when choosing an optic. Although rimfires can go quite far, they max out at
100 yards and give at least a foot of drop towards the target. The types of guns that go with rimfire
scopes are not meant for shooting at extremely long distances, so for the best quality, keep your
target within a shorter range.
Consider for whom you buy the rifle, because the weight of a scope can be a huge factor. For
instance, if you are buying for a 12–year–old, you may want to consider a scope that is lightweight
and affordable. If you look at a Ruger 10/22, which is already about 5 pounds, you may not want to
make it any heavier than it has to be.
Most rimfire scopes are long and skinny. The incoming aperture is around the same size as the exit
eyepiece. Towards the middle of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is fine for shooters who are staying in that close range, however it could pose a problem for
anyone wanting to shoot at further or closer distances. Parallax is like an optical illusion, and if it is
not set properly, it can cause inaccurate shooting. The best way to check if your parallax is set
correctly is to line your sight up to a target in your normal firing position. Then, change the angle of
how you?re looking through the scope. If the change moves the reticle, or the lines on the optic that
help locate your aim, then the parallax is not properly

The Effects of Nonverbal Cues
Communication is a vital form of survival for most breathing life forms, including the human
population. Communication is defined as a form of symbolic expressions to create meaning. There
are two types of communication: verbal and nonverbal. Verbal communication is directing messages
from one party to another through sound. Nonverbal communication has more depth to it; there is
more meaning in its nonverbal gestures such as body language. Albert Mehrabin is a UCLA
Professor who developed a rule stating messages sent from one person to another are mostly
received through nonverbal forms ("Non Verbal Communication", 2013). Interpersonal relationship

Eye contact is highly used in the business field in the United States due to showing confidence in the
company's organization. However, it is completely opposite when working in the business world in
Asia. Using eye contact to high authority can be considered an offense or an insult.
There are other ways miscommunication can happen while working with different cultures. A
business company will not succeed working overseas is it does know about that certain culture. The
effectiveness of nonverbal communication depends entirely on how it is interpreted and the user's
knowledge of cultural norms.
Nonverbal communication maybe misinterpreted throughout countries, it is still a universal
language. There are several types of nonverbal deliveries and if used correctly and analyzed
thoroughly, it can help create closer bonds with one another. One aspect of appearance is physical
appearance itself. "How we appear can be just revealing as how we sound and move" ( Alder &

The Impact Of Photography On Digital Photography
Photography is a word derived from the Greek words, photos meaning "light" and graphein meaning
"to draw" (History of Photography). The word was first used by the scientist Sir John F.W. Herschel
in 1839 (History of Photography and the Camera). It is a method of recording images by the action
of light, or related radiation, on a sensitive material. The end of the 19th century was an important
time in camera history. Shutters were incorporated into cameras, the size of the devices decreased
and these moments set the stage for a new, ever–changing century of innovation in digital
photography (From Shutters to DSLR). Digital camera technology was born out of the spy satellite
program designed to reduce the difficulties of collecting photographic data from cameras in orbit
(From Shutters to DSLR). From these early designs, digital cameras increased in resolution and
decreased in size and cost until they gradually became practical for widespread consumer use.
Following many years of steady development, Nikon has been contributed to incredible innovations
as a leading company in digital camera industry.
The first pinhole camera was invented by Alhazen, a great authority on optics in the Middle Ages
who lived around 1000AD, and it was able to explain why the images were upside down (History of
Photography and the Camera). The first practical process of photography was performed in 1829,
Niepce used paper coated with silver chloride, succeeded in photographing the images formed in

Digital And Analog Formats Of Cameras
Resolution
When it comes to both digital and analog formats, photographers I think want to know that there
will be sharp results and high–resolution images. With digital sensors, we judge resolution by
counting the number of pixels within a given area. Film does not have pixels,
Different sensors have different resolutions; different types of film will also produce different
resolutions.
(Roger N. Clark's analysis of standard 35mm film) explained;
"Depending on the type of film used, the resolution fell between 4 and 16 million pixels. For
example, Fujifilm's Provia 100 film produced a resolution around 7 MP while Fujifilm's Velvia 50
produced a resolution around 16 MP. Considering that entry cameras such as Nikon's can ... Show

Increasing the ISO of a digital camera or selecting high–speed film will make your photographs
more vulnerable to noise and grain. In most situations, noise is unwanted in color photos; however,
with black and white images, some artists view the grain as adding character, and aren't looked at as
a negative point.
Film Speed
When it comes to shooting in low light conditions, digital image sensors easily take the mantle. Film
can usually be found available in speeds between 100 and 3200, although 6400 film does exist.
Today's digital cameras can match the noise produced by analog cameras in these ranges, as well as
push their sensitivity many stops higher.
Cost and Convenience
When it comes to cost and convenience, both digital and analog formats have their pros & cons. One
clear advantage is the number of photographs you can take within digital format, plus the urgency of
needing an image is readily available, and the type of subjects you shoot, will help you choose
between the two options.
Digital is a much more expensive initial cost and with today's evolving technology this means we
will most likely want to upgrade our equipment within a few years between camera body and
glass/lenses. For those who need instant access to their photographs, there is nothing faster and more
convenient than digital. When shooting high–speed action photography, there is also no concern
about running out of film; large memory cards can easily store

CRASH Syndrome
CRASH syndrome is a rare X–linked genetic disorder associated with a mutation in the L1CAM
gene. The L1CAM gene provides instructions for producing the L1 protein. L1 protein plays a role
in the development and organization of neurons, formation of myelin sheath and formation of
synapses between neurons. Humans with L1CAM mutations grow up with a significant
developmental disability. The L1CAM protein is involved in directing growth of axons during
nervous system development and is specifically localized to the axons of neurons. L1CAM protein
mutations will localize in different areas a neuron when compared to normal L1CAM proteins.

Consumer Behaviour of Purchasing Digital Camera
Consumer Behaviour of Purchasing Digital Camera
1.0 Introduction
In order to market the product into the market successfully, marketers need to have some marketing
strategy to enter the desired market and make profit. Market segmentation is the process of dividing
a market into subsets of consumers with common needs or characteristics (Schiffman et al., 2011).
Understanding the market size and segmentation is valuable, but the keys to effective targeting is to
know just how valuable specific consumer groups are, and being able to quantify the impact of
consumer trends ( Berry, 1999).

2.1.2. Product benefits
After the product attributes it goes to the second stage which is product benefits. There are two
consequences can discussed under the field of product benefits, namely as functional consequences
and psychosocial consequences.
The functional consequences is the tangible consequences of the product, it focus more on "what
function is perform?'Also, it can be considered as an external influence to the consumer. In this case
the consequences may be user–friendly and excellence photographic performance.
The psychosocial consequence is a combination of psychological and social consequences. It
emphasized more on 'How I feel?' and 'How people feel about me?'which is more likely to be the
internal influences to the consumers. Attraction and communication are significantly elements in
this part. For example, Nikon consumer may feel they catch people attention when they are using
Nikon digital camera which is the psychological consequence. Also the consumer may feel happy
when they are using Nikon digital camera with others and create positiveexperience about the
product, this may considered as social consequence.

My Ethnography
I got my first camera at the age of eight; it was a blue Olympic digital camera. I used my camera
whenever I could. Ever since I was little I noticed the little things in life. The main thing I want to
do with my life is to be a world known photographer. I want to travel the world with my camera and
show the world how beautiful earth is. I started collecting old fashion cameras at the age of twelve. I
started collecting cameras because I liked the different styles and technology they came up with.
When I was fifteen, I got a Nikon camera for my birthday from my grandparents. I captured images
every day, I still use it, I use it for portraits and landscapes. I currently have eight different styles of
cameras, including my favorite Fujifilm Polaroid. I always have a device on me that I can take
pictures on. My Polaroid and Nikon are always in my car, and my phone is always with me.
I love taking photos whenever I can. At family events, they usually find me behind the lens of a
camera. My favorite type of image is ones that are unexpected they're not posed and the subject
doesn't know that they're being photographed I believe it looks more realistic than ... Show more

When we get together, I always have my camera, the atmosphere that we create when together is
filled with love and enjoyment. The photos taken at the family gathering tell stories and they show
the laughter and smiles from all. My family consists of my sister, mom, and dad. Yes my family that
I live with might be small but they're my whole life and I love them more than anything. My friends
are part of my family, I spend so much time with them it would be wrong for me not to call them
family. When I'm with my friends I don't have a care in the world because I am accepted by them.
When I'm with my friends I have my Polaroid and every picture I take I keep with me and write the
date on the bottom and keep them in my wallet so they're always with

The Nikon D60- Exploring Features of a Great Camera Essay
As I am a user of many of the popular social networking sites and am on them almost every day, I
see that camera's and photography are a very important part of everyone's lives. I can go to almost
anyone's profile and see that they have a picture of themselves and usually at least another hundred
pictures for their friends to look at so that they can see what is going on in their lives. Whenever I go
to a professional sports game or am even just walking down the street, it is hard to go somewhere
where nobody has a camera with them ready to capture a moment to share with others. And now that
basically everyone has a cell phone and most of those phones have a built in camera, nobody has an
excuse to not be taking pictures everywhere they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But there are also some great beginner D–SLR's that take great pictures and allow the user many
custom settings and great zoom for far away subjects. Nikon Inc. has been around for a long time
creating optics and cameras. As a photographer myself, I know that I can trust Nikon to create great
picture quality and their equipment is very reliable. When I was looking for my first camera, Nikon
was in the process of discontinuing one of their cameras and coming out with a new, better, quicker
one. This camera that they came out with was the D60. The D60 has many great features including a
10.2 megapixel sensor as well as quick shutter speed and most importantly a great price. The Nikon
D60 is the perfect camera for any beginner photographer who is not sure if they really want to get
into photography or not. It could also be considered as a great camera for those occasional family
portraits and vacations where the quality of pictures matters. With this camera, the consumer gets
both an affordable camera (starting around $650) as well as high quality that will last many years.
There are many things that I am particular about as a serious photographer when it comes to picking
out my camera. One of the first things that I look at is the size of the CCD imaging sensor. The D60
by Nikon features a 10.2 megapixel sensor with another feature. The D60 features the EXPEEED
image processing concept which doesn't

The Russian Orthodox Church In The 19th Century
The Russian Orthodox Church has a very dark unspoken past. The Russian Orthodox Church
changed many policies over the years leading to many casualties. The Russian Church to many
people was a sign of fear and change they were uncomfortable with.
The Russian Church arose after Christianity was introduced in the 9th century. Christianity was
introduced in Kievan Rus, an East Slavic State, and was only accepted after the prince of Kiev was
baptized. In the 17th century the church was known to be autocephalous after the bishops decided to
elect their own patriarch. One of the chosen patriarchs, Nikon, managed to get involved in a very
violent conflict with the Russian Tsar Alexis. The origin of the church led to all the bloodshed found
in the history of this church.
After Nikon was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tsarist government collapsed soon after and the church reestablished the patriarchate and elected
Tikhon. The Soviet government separated church from the state resulting in mass casualties for
Recinos 2 the church. For years, the Russian Orthodox Church was persecuted and many churches
were destroyed followed by the arrest and execution of many clerics, priests. During this time,
Vladimir Lenin took control with the communists and placed many more restrictions on the church.
The church was very weak during this period and many people believed it would be the last of the
church.
The church was very weak under Tikhon so it was no surprise when the church was supported by the
Soviet government to secede from Tikhon's church. The Patriarch was outraged with the people but
he was too weak to regain the church. After the church seceded Patriarch Tikhon remonstrated:
"Think what you are doing you madmen! Stop your bloody outrages! Your acts are not merely cruel,
they are the works of Satan, for which you will burn in hell fire in the life hereafter and will be
cursed by future generations in this life."

Photography Is My Destiny And Personal Legend
A Thousand Words Human beings are unlike anything else on this planet. Humans have built a
world for themselves and continue to push the limits of what is possible. I believe that my ultimate
"thread" in life is to capture humans living and existing in a way that only humans can. Being a
photographer is "what [I] have always wanted to accomplish" (Coelho 21). As beautiful and alive as
a flower or an old building is, so are humans. They are the reason that cameras exist and the reason
why photographers even have the possibility to make a living out of their passion. The late Alfred
Eisenstaedt, who famously photographed an affectionate couple on V–J Day in Times Square once
said, "It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter" (Stocks 1). The euphoria I
felt firsthand when taking pictures and the fact that I passionately relate to this quote is why I
believe that photography is my destiny and Personal Legend. I have been taking pictures for as long
as I can remember. It all started back when flip phones were all the rage and the only camera in my
house I could comfortably carry was my mom's small silver Sony Cyber–Shot. I took pictures of my
parents and, years later when she was born, my sister. To young me, capturing my family was the
only thing that mattered. One day, around Christmas, I got a delivery from a relative. I began
eagerly opening since that is one of the greatest thing could ever happen to a child, and to my
delight, it was my very own

In 1911, photographer Edward Steichen was "dared" by Lucien Vogel, the publisher of Jardin des Modes and La Gazette du Bon Ton, to promote fashion as a fine art by the use of photography. Steichen then took photos of gowns designed by couturier Paul Poiret. These photographs were published in the April 1911 issue of the magazine Art et Decoration. In the mid 1940's the artists abandoned their rigid forms for a much freer style. In 1936, Martin Munkacsi made the first photographs of models in sporty poses at the beach. The models in early fashion photographs were most frequently society ladies and theatre and screen actresses rather than women working as living mannequins. Even early fashionistas needed some place to turn for the latest in style information– hence the publication of fashion magazines. Among the first was Godey's Lady's Book and Harper's. While early fashion photographers focused simply on taking pictures that made both the clothing and model look good, they soon evolved to view fashion photography as a great outlet for expressing their artistic viewpoints. For example, photographers in the early 20th century, such as Baron de Meyer, generated artistic effects by using a lot of backlighting and soft–focusing. Other photographers, such as George Hoyningen–Huene and Cecil Beaton, used props. Still others, like John French and Irving Penn, created images that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Why Worry About A Camera Shake? Why worry about camera shake? ¥ Photoshop is capable of repairing many flaws and errors, but unfortunately it can't fix everything! Camera shake can wreak havoc on the sharpness of any image. Lacking a basic understanding of the exposure triangle, many new photographers fail to realize the significance a steady hand plays in producing a sharp image. A thorough knowledge of the relationship between shutter speed, aperture, and ISO is certainly the benchmark of a professional; furthermore, understanding the basics will not only improve you image quality, but it can also open the door to one's creative potential. Why does my photo appear blurry or out of focus? ¥ Although many factors may contribute to a blurry photograph, I feel camera shake is by far the most responsible. Understanding how shutter speed affects image sharpness is essential in producing a snappy photograph. Simply stated, failing to have a shutter speed fast enough to freeze an object in the viewfinder may result in a blurry image. Although advertised as a rule, I encourage using it as more of a guide; conversely, as with many rules, some may be bent while others can be broken. BRAND DEFINITION "Unique design, sign, symbol, words, or a combination of these, employed in creating an image that identifies a product and differentiates it from its competitors" (businessdictionary.com). When we look up the definition of the word "brand" on the internet, the first part of what we get is the sentence previously cited; however this is not enough to differentiate brand from trademark. The brand is something more complex than a simple trademark; as Aline Wheeler explains in her book Designing Brand Identity published in 2012, a brand has an emotional side, something a trademark does not have, that is important to connect it to the customers so the brand can have a long life and a trustful relationship with the clients. ... On the other hand, Canon is more focused on sports, animal photography; their cameras are designed for this kind of purpose. Even though they have been trying to give off some emotional vibes in their advertisement, it is very important that Canon has a strongly different positioning from Nikon; the two brands are often compared and people generally hesitate between the two before buying a device – this is the reason why we can find several different comparison between the two brands' products on the internet. • 24. My Design Of Sighting A Gun I. The purpose for my design is to speed up the process of sighting a gun in, the scope to take into compensate the parabolic launch of a bullet, and to hit to target bulls' eye. Sighting in a gun requires a long trial and error process that any hunter, marine, or police sniper would agree upon. As a bullet is fired from a rifle it rises a few inches for about one hundred yards or more where it descends below the axis of the barrel. The scope looks like any other scope but will account for the parabolic launch and relocate its self to the correct position for the most accurate shot. Nikon is a company that produces quality scopes and would be a good contestant for the idea. They support their products being "brighter, clearer, precise, and rugged, but these are just a few of the attributes knowledgeable hunters commonly use to describe Nikon riflescopes. Nikon is determined to bring hunters, shooters, and sportsmen a wide selection of the best hunting optics money can buy– while at the same time pushing the envelope to create revolutionary capabilities for the serious hunter" (Nikon). The design would also need an electrical engineer to design the wiring and microchips/sensors, but a mechanical engineer from Power Electrics would also be needed to fit the motor for the positioning of the scope. I would like to arrange a meeting for all of us to discuss and perfect the idea. II. The scope, Buck Slayer by Slade Mills and Nikon, will be about the same size as any other ... Think of it like this, when shooting with a crop sensor, the image appears cropped due to the smaller sensor and therefore appears to zoom in closer on the subject; thus, the same amount of camera movement makes the blur more visible in the cropped image. Multiplying the focal length by the crop factor eliminates this effect in a crop sensor. Of course, all of this is based on a rule, and I use that term "rule" loosely, that was developed years ago as a guide in achieving an acceptable level of sharpness in an image. What is "acceptable sharpness" in an image? The topic of much debate, acceptable sharpness is certainly subjective. I think every photographer has an opinion on the subject; nonetheless, I feel the best way to decide what is "acceptable" sharpness is to view the photograph either on a computer screen or printed at approximately the same size as an 8x10. Now, when viewed from the perspective of a person looking at the photograph hanging on a wall, if it looks sharp, it's probably good enough for most of us. Out of all this stuff, what do need to ... Turner uses techniques such as using an intense color palette, geometry, hue and saturation, creating vanishing points, and surrealism. Turner started taking photos at a young age. He started around 14 years old and used color print and transparency material. At the start of his career he took pictures when he was drafted into the United States military service. After discharged from the military, Turner moves to New York and takes pictures that are featured in National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Timex, Esquire, and the International Museum of Photography. In the Nikon USA article Pete Turner: Master of Color Photography, Turner states, "I'll work with color levels and curves, hue and saturation, but not with filters or composite effects. I don't do any photo composition partly because I don't like the look of it, and also because it's too easy and too many people are doing it. I don't like to follow the path of what's trendy." Saturated color helps to emphasize the boldness of his pictures. He also uses saturation to make parts of his picture more or less bold. Turner does this to make parts of the picture more apparent than others and this creates vanishing points. Vanishing points are apparent in all of Pete Turners photos. After saturating parts of the image and editing it with a digital palette, Turner is able to create vanishing points. Some of the vanishing points he creates a lot are not straight lines. For example, after he makes a blue and green that are next to each other bold, he then saturates the area where they meet and this makes the line blurred and appear not straight anymore. He has done this with people too. Turner makes Middleton ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These two companies were the first to make the leap from film to digital, and their initial impressions in the market make them the dominant players. Consequently, we should concentrate in particular on the useful functions without much unnecessary design in our digital SLR cameras. Unlike Canon, Nikon's innovation focus on setting up a lot of operation system model for speed and lighting, which makes the Nikon cameras greatly acceptable. From the operating instruction manual, you can change the capturing model by turning the button, which is on the top of the camera. For example, you want to capture a running animal on a mountain when you take photos for your friends, you need to change your camera operation system from portrait model to the speed model immediately, and then it automatically focus on the animal and capture the moving position in the LCD screen. That would be quite convenient for beginners to set the automatically model. As for professional photographer, the point–and–shoot operation with focus area selector seems more engaged. Rimfire rifles and pistols are some of the most popular firearms due to their affordability and cheaper ammo, and they offer enjoyable experiences to all ages. A rimfire rifle is the most common rifle that individuals learn to shoot with and it provides a great first experience for all novice shooters. General Buying Guide So, how do you decide which scope works best for your firearm? There are a variety of factors that you have to think about when choosing an optic. Although rimfires can go quite far, they max out at 100 yards and give at least a foot of drop towards the target. The types of guns that go with rimfire scopes are not meant for shooting at extremely long distances, so for the best quality, keep your target within a shorter range. Consider for whom you buy the rifle, because the weight of a scope can be a huge factor. For instance, if you are buying for a 12–year–old, you may want to consider a scope that is lightweight and affordable. If you look at a Ruger 10/22, which is already about 5 pounds, you may not want to make it any heavier than it has to be. Most rimfire scopes are long and skinny. • 60. The Impact Of Photography On Digital Photography Photography is a word derived from the Greek words, photos meaning "light" and graphein meaning "to draw" (History of Photography). The word was first used by the scientist Sir John F.W. Herschel in 1839 (History of Photography and the Camera). It is a method of recording images by the action of light, or related radiation, on a sensitive material. The end of the 19th century was an important time in camera history. Shutters were incorporated into cameras, the size of the devices decreased and these moments set the stage for a new, ever–changing century of innovation in digital photography (From Shutters to DSLR). Digital camera technology was born out of the spy satellite program designed to reduce the difficulties of collecting photographic data from cameras in orbit (From Shutters to DSLR). From these early designs, digital cameras increased in resolution and decreased in size and cost until they gradually became practical for widespread consumer use. Following many years of steady development, Nikon has been contributed to incredible innovations as a leading company in digital camera industry. The first pinhole camera was invented by Alhazen, a great authority on optics in the Middle Ages who lived around 1000AD, and it was able to explain why the images were upside down (History of Photography and the Camera). The first practical process of photography was performed in 1829, Niepce used paper coated with silver chloride, succeeded in photographing the images formed in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Digital And Analog Formats Of Cameras Resolution When it comes to both digital and analog formats, photographers I think want to know that there will be sharp results and high–resolution images. With digital sensors, we judge resolution by counting the number of pixels within a given area. Film does not have pixels, Different sensors have different resolutions; different types of film will also produce different resolutions. (Roger N. Clark's analysis of standard 35mm film) explained; "Depending on the type of film used, the resolution fell between 4 and 16 million pixels. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Increasing the ISO of a digital camera or selecting high–speed film will make your photographs more vulnerable to noise and grain. In most situations, noise is unwanted in color photos; however, with black and white images, some artists view the grain as adding character, and aren't looked at as a negative point. Film Speed When it comes to shooting in low light conditions, digital image sensors easily take the mantle. Film can usually be found available in speeds between 100 and 3200, although 6400 film does exist. Today's digital cameras can match the noise produced by analog cameras in these ranges, as well as push their sensitivity many stops higher. Cost and Convenience When it comes to cost and convenience, both digital and analog formats have their pros & cons. One clear advantage is the number of photographs you can take within digital format, plus the urgency of needing an image is readily available, and the type of subjects you shoot, will help you choose between the two options. Digital is a much more expensive initial cost and with today's evolving technology this means we will most likely want to upgrade our equipment within a few years between camera body and glass/lenses. The Russian Orthodox Church changed many policies over the years leading to many casualties. The Russian Church to many people was a sign of fear and change they were uncomfortable with. The Russian Church arose after Christianity was introduced in the 9th century. Christianity was introduced in Kievan Rus, an East Slavic State, and was only accepted after the prince of Kiev was baptized. In the 17th century the church was known to be autocephalous after the bishops decided to elect their own patriarch. One of the chosen patriarchs, Nikon, managed to get involved in a very violent conflict with the Russian Tsar Alexis. The origin of the church led to all the bloodshed found in the history of this church. After Nikon was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Stop your bloody outrages! Your acts are not merely cruel, they are the works of Satan, for which you will burn in hell fire in the life hereafter and will be cursed by future generations in this life." ... Humans have built a world for themselves and continue to push the limits of what is possible. I believe that my ultimate "thread" in life is to capture humans living and existing in a way that only humans can. Being a photographer is "what [I] have always wanted to accomplish" (Coelho 21). As beautiful and alive as a flower or an old building is, so are humans. They are the reason that cameras exist and the reason why photographers even have the possibility to make a living out of their passion. The late Alfred Eisenstaedt, who famously photographed an affectionate couple on V–J Day in Times Square once said, "It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter" (Stocks 1). The euphoria I felt firsthand when taking pictures and the fact that I passionately relate to this quote is why I believe that photography is my destiny and Personal Legend. I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. It all started back when flip phones were all the rage and the only camera in my house I could comfortably carry was my mom's small silver Sony Cyber–Shot. I took pictures of my parents and, years later when she was born, my sister. To young me, capturing my family was the only thing that mattered. One day, around Christmas, I got a delivery from a relative. I began eagerly opening since that is one of the greatest thing could ever happen to a child, and to my delight, it was my very own ...
