2. Interview:
You should document the process of getting your interview. You should produce a range of questions and also a list of
interviewees.
You should provide an unedited transcript of the interview as well as at least one draft of it.
Interviews can be written in whatever style you prefer.
3. Interview: old festivals
Best festival you’ve been too?
- The best festival I have been to would be Lost Village festival in 2018. The production was unreal, being a
smaller and newer festival than most I had no idea what to expect however was amazed from start to finish.
The festival was unique in the way that it was fully themed. The theme was lost in the woods, the fact the
festival was themed immediately set it apart. The stages such as the forgotten cabin and the abandoned
chapel deep in the woods was incredible and then the vast open air main stage the burial ground was set up
like an old apache ground. This along with incredible music made one of the best experiences around.
Best line up seen?
- The best line up I have seen was Leeds festival 2017. When thinking about line ups you can rate them
overall or to personal preference so for overall this would be my choice, acts such as Kasabian, Eminem, J
hus, Bugzy Malone, solardo etc.
4. Interview:
Worst festival you’ve been too?
-
Leeds festival 2016 despite being an amazing line up it was the worst weather there for 8 years, it rained every single
day and the mud was ridiculous.
Worst production?
-
Most likely mint fest 2017, the festival was still good however the set up was very simple in comparison to other
festivals that size.
Best production
-
Lost village was in my opinion the best production, the stages were all incredible and the festival site was very well
designed. It was clean, small wait times for the arena and not overcrowded compared to the majority of other festivals.
The stages themselves were each unique.
5. Interview: Harm Reduction
Should drugs in festivals be banned?
-
What steps can be taken to make festivals safer?
-
Should festivals provide a free testing service?
-
How do current festivals cope with these issues?
-
Are dogs effective, should Dogs be used for drugs or terror threats?
-
6. Intro page summary: a brief guide to festivals
Festivals have been the highlight of summer for decades. Hundreds of festivals happen both in the UK and
abroad each year, whether its small day festivals to week long camping trips festivals attract millions of
people across the world. As well as having the time of your life camping with your mates you get the
opportunity to see some of the greatest performers in all different genres. Performances include musicians,
dj's, comedians, rappers and many more. The wide variety of shows attracts all sorts of people.
7. Harm reduction
Drug use at festivals has been a massive issue over the years and
a good chunk of festival goers use drugs each year. This has raised
the issue of the best way to deal with this. Despite whatever
security measures people will always take drugs at festivals. This
is why companies like the Loop offer a free testing service at
festivals. This means that many accidents are prevented as
people can make sure what they have is safe.
