2. My goal of teaching
I want to teach foreigners how to learn Chinese
and how to speak it fluently and I have three
goals to help them learn:
3. First goal
• To be able to recognize a few words and
have correct pronunciation
• To be able to read and write 100~200
Chinese words
• To be able to listen and speak daily
conversation and understand the easy
grammar
4. Second goal
• To be able to write down some simple daily
words
• To be able to know some complex
sentences and the grammar
• To be able to have a simple conversation
with others in different situations
5. Third goal
• To be able to speak fluently in daily
conversation
• To be able to read most of the paragraphs
in a essay
• To be able to use simple sentences to talk
about your ideas and feelings
7. My handout
Using this handout to contrast
Chinese and English and try to
speak the words
8. My Experience of teaching
When I use my handouts to teach the
foreigner, they tried their best to write down
what they have known and when they wrote
the words incorrect I will correct them
immediately and have a little test next time so
as to let them remember the words clearly.
Editor's Notes
Welcome/introduction:
Our job today is to put the progress of English language learners as the responsibility of every classroom teacher and to see the relevance of these students in a context of key documents (NZC , LLP, ELLP)
See the module ‘Meeting the needs of ELLs’
We will be drawing on ELLP in particular as we proceed.
