2. LONDON TO BRIGHTON (2006)
London to Brighton is a movie which has a similar idea
to ours. It tells a a story of a young girl and a prostitute,
who are trying to escape a number of problems,
travelling to Brighton. This movie is a mix of thriller and
drama, in the same way as ours.
These two shots show the villains of the movies. The way the sit in the coach
indicates the power of both of them.
3. LONDON TO BRIGHTON (2006)
In thrillers, and in
movies in general,
both money and drugs
are usually presented
as the essential
attributes of bad guys.
In our thriller, the
kidnapper is at the
same time a drug
dealer, which is shown
in our opening title
sequence.
4. LONDON TO BRIGHTON (2006)
The way which we used to
do the titles (white writing
and black background) is
used widely in movies of
different genres. However,
in thrillers and dramas
they are used much more
often than in any other
kinds of movies. This is
due to the suspense and
mysterious atmosphere,
which are created using
this minimalistic but
sometimes quite dramatic
title shot.
5. Hozier –Cherry Wine music video
These two shots are
quite similar because
both show a girl
getting ready for a
night out looking at the
mirror.
6. PULP FICTION (1994)
These two shots are
very similar between
each other, because
both of them are the
tracking shots.
However, the Pulp
Fiction shot is much
longer than the shot of
the kidnapper in our
sequence, both of them
represent men
confidently going.
