1. What kind of media institution
might distribute your media
product and why?
2. Ultimately, I believe that the most suitable media
institution to distribute One English Pound would be
Metrodome. One English Pound would be a
British, low budget film with British actors. The film
would represent people from all over Britain who fall
into this kind of trap that Katie is caught in and it would
show just how easy it is to become part of.
3. At the same time, the film would not be
promoting or encouraging alcohol consumption
or prostitution, but instead showing how it can
be prevented or decreased.
Metrodome have also produced similar types of
films regarding the genres and the storyline.
4. Shifty is a similar type of film in the sense that
it follows the main character through his life
experiences of being a drug dealer and
eventually shows how he got out of that
trap, beginning a new life for himself.
5. Donnie Darko is a similar film with regards to the genre,
as it is a psychological thriller. Metrodome have the
type of budget that would be on the right borderline
for shooting One English Pound. There would be no
special effects, no IMAX cameras nor would there be
highly famous actors. The film would have an original,
British and would be shot in the rural areas of Britain. I
feel that this would attract a niche audience to begin
with, however the entirely original
storyline would attract a slightly newer
audience.
