The restored Daxiong Temple main hall is 45.05 meters high, and the
Sakyamuni Buddha is 28.88 meters high. The indoor Buddha statue is
the second highest in China.

25. Film and television shooting
Since the film “Opium War” was filmed in 1996, Hengdian Film
Studio has received more than 200 crews since the end of 2003, and
has produced more than 4,000 episodes of film and television
dramas.
Most of the actors
According to statistics, the “cross-family” supporting actors with
certain performance skills in Changju Hengdian have reached more
than 1,200 in 2003, and more than 1,100 registered extras
participated in the filming.

26. Largest indoor studio
There are two high-tech studios in Hengdian Studios, one of which is
1944 square meters and 23 meters high. It is the largest indoor studio
in China.
In April 2007, it was awarded the “National Tourism System
Advanced Collective” and is the only private enterprise in China that
has won this honor.
China’s only “national film and television industry experimental
zone.”

27. Award honor
In 2000, Hengdian Film and Television City was awarded the first
batch of national AAAA-level tourist scenic spots by the National
Tourism Administration.
In 2003, it was selected as “the most attractive tourist attraction in
Zhejiang Province”.
In 2006, Hengdian Film and Television City was named “China’s Top
Ten Film and Television Shooting Bases”.
In April 2007, the Ministry of Personnel and the National Tourism
Administration awarded Zhejiang Hengdian Film and Television City
Co., Ltd. the honorary title of “National Tourism System Advanced
Collective”, which is the only private enterprise in Zhejiang Province
that has won this honor.
In June 2007, Hengdian Film and Television City was selected as the
“China’s Most Featured Film and Television Shooting Base” by the
10th Shanghai International Film Festival.
In February 2009, Hengdian Film and Television City was identified
as the Zhejiang Cultural Industry Demonstration Base by the
Provincial Department of Culture.
In March 2010, Zhejiang Famous Brand Strategy Promotion
Committee officially recognized “Hengdian Film and Television City”
as a famous brand in Zhejiang.
On April 18, 2010, the National Tourism Administration officially
awarded Hengdian Film and Television City as the national 5A-level
tourist scenic spot; in June 2010, Hengdian Film and Television City
was identified as a national tourism standardization pilot enterprise
by the National Tourism Administration.
On September 7, 2011, the “Top Ten Most Influential Travel
Performances in China” sponsored by the China-Foreign Tourism
Culture Association: The world’s largest volcanic live performance
“Fantasy Taiji” was performed by Hengdian Film and Television City
Art Troupe.
In March 2013, Hengdian Studios won the 9th Zhejiang Consumer
Trustworthy Unit.

28. Social repercussions
Mode effect
From the beginning of 1996 to 2013, 17 years, Hengdian Studios has a
name – “Chinese Hollywood.” A small village started with industry
and became rich, but it was famous throughout the country for a
sideline. This miracle was witnessed by everyone. Behind the miracle,
the industry believes that the “horizontal store model” has made it a
different scale.
Hengdian Studios now has 18 film and television shooting bases such
as Guangzhou Street, Hong Kong Street, Qinwang Palace, Qingming
Shanghe Map, Ming and Qing Palace, and Dream Valley. In these
bases, photographs such as “Opium War”, “Hero” (movie version,
American drama version), “The Promise”, “Yongzheng Dynasty”,
“Painted Skin” (movie version TV version), “Westward Journey
Demon”, etc. have been photographed. A number of film and
television dramas. Therefore, Hengdian was called “Chinese
Hollywood” by people in the industry.
According to the data, from the beginning of 1996 to the year of 2013,
Hengdian Group has opened 32,742.48 acres of barren hills. Among
them, the Red Army Long March Expo City, built in 2005 to
commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese

29. Workers and Peasants Red Army Long March, has reached 9000
acres. The Shanghai Beach Base, with a new project investment of 1.5
billion, is also under construction.
Traffic Guide
Train
Foreign tourists can arrive at Yiwu Station by rail, and take the
shuttle bus from Hengwu Railway Station to the Hengdian Film and
Television City Passenger Transport Center. The operation time is
from 6:30 am to 18:30 pm. The shuttle bus fare to Hengdian from
Yiwu Railway Station is 20 yuan, and the journey time is about 80
minutes.
Car
Take the shuttle bus to Hengdian Film and Television City Passenger
Transport Center and transfer directly to the hotels and attractions.

30. Flight
Far-distance tourists can take the plane to Hangzhou Xiaoshan
International Airport and there is an airport bus directly to the
Hengdian Film and Television City Passenger Station. Please check
