Introduction
The GoforIsrael conference, the 16th
GoforIsrael to date, is a full day meeting at the Grand Hyatt in Shanghai on the 20th
of September.
Every year, the GoforIsrael conference gathers the finest speakers and participants from Israel, China and abroad, as well as investors and
top management of the most representative Israeli companies in technology and innovation.
The event focuses on Israeli businesses and their relationship to the ever growing interest of Chinese investors and companies in the Israeli
technology boom.

Introduction of Scenic Spots in Shanghai
The Bund
The Bund, located at the walking tour belt from the Waibaidu Bridge, which is on the
west bank of Huangpu River to the East Jinling Road, is one of the most symbolic spots
in Shanghai, winding 1500 meters in length. Exotic building clusters and night view of
Pujiang River are the most charming here. To the left is a wide Zhongshandongyi Road,
where there is parade of tens of foreign architectures in different styles and to the right is
Huangpu River, mother river of Shanghai. Across the river, there are several skyscrapers,
like Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai
Tower. At night, wandering on the Bund, one can appreciate the flavor and romance of the
Sleepless Mall. The essence of the Bund is exotic building clusters, called International
Architecture Exhibition that consisting of 52 diverse buildings. No matter looking from
far beyond or walking among them, one can always breathe the airs of vigor, grandeur,
elegance and luxury.

City God Temple of Shanghai
City God Temple of Shanghai belongs to the southern architecture, with red walls and
tiled roofs. Currently, it consists of Miaoqian Square, Da Palace, Yuanchen Palace,
Mammon Palace, Cihang Palace, City God Palace and Goddess Palace, showcasing the
tremendous changes in Shanghai. Lots of special foods are in and around there.

Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower
As one of the landmarks of Shanghai, Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower is the highest
tower in Asia and the third highest in the world. Facing International Architecture Exhibition
across the river, Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower is the best place to enjoy the night
scene. From top to bottom, there are 11 spheres of different sizes in series. Also, it is
one of the most stunning skyscrapers in central Shanghai, with revolving restaurant,
development display hall, and science fantasy world limited inside.

Expo Park
Located at the central Shanghai, Expo Park researches on its standing and function in
the whole system structure, according to the current status and system structure of green
space.It needs to offer high-quality natural ecological environment and cultural sights,

being a permanent park green firmly.

Shanghai Xintiandi
Shanghai Xintiandi is created by converting the unique Shikumen into a walking street,
in which the Memorial Hall of the First Conference of the CPC stands. Normally, South
Lanes possess modern buildings, while North Lanes possess Shikumen buildings. The
Shikumen buildings within Shanghai Xintiandi retain the antique walls and tiles, making
visitors feel like entering tunnels of light.

Yu Garden
Builded in the late Ming and early Qing periods, Yu Garden is only Ming-style Garden in
old city. Exquisite in design and quiet and beautiful in environment, it is a quaint place in
bustling metropolis, with pavilions, rockeries and ponds. There are hundreds of tablets
and inscriptions written by the School of Logicians, along with Stone Sculpture Exhibition
that is full of pavilions, stones and lakes. It has been known as “City Forest”, featuring
southern China structures. Today, Yu Garden contains several busy streets accessing to it.

Tianzi Lane
Tianzi Lane reveals the kindness, warmth and noise of Shanghai. Entering into Tianzi
Lane, you will casually catch sight of small specific stores and art workshops, ranging
from teahouse, terrace café, gallery, and furnishings to handmade art and famous creative
studio.

Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum
Located in central Shanghai and close to People's Square and Nanjing Road, Madame
Tussaud's Wax Museum gathers world’s celebrity wax figures. Here, you may dance and
sing withMichael Jackson, GUO Fucheng, NA Ying, Tom Cruise and Audrey Hepburn. Or
you may see elegance of YAO Ming, Beckham and Tiger Woods on the trace. Moreover,
you may be the focus in the lens, together with Obama, YANG Liwei and Einstein.

Shanghai Museum
Shanghai Museum is one of the four great museums in China, enjoying the equal
popularity with Beijing, Nanjing and Xi’an. It sets 12 specific showrooms and contains 21
sorts, including bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphy, painting, jade tooth material, bamboo
and wood and lacquer, oracle bone, royal seal and the technology of the minority, among
which stand out bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphy and painting. Most of chinaware is
competitive products in South China, especially those of the Liangzhu Culturein prehistoric
times. It also characterized by the gatherings of ancient blue china.

Shanghai Science & Technology Museum
Shanghai Science & Technology Museum includes five exhibition halls and temporary
halls. They are Tiandi, Life, Wisdom, Creation and Future. Also it sets 7 exhibition
zones, like Earth Exploration, Spectrum of Life, Light of Wisdom, AV Paradise, Cradle of
Designers, Children's Science Land and Natural History, and 3 theaters, including IMAX,

Help Information
Currency
The local currency is the RMB. Visa and Master Card are accepted
at the Registration Desk. Foreign currency will not be accepted.
You are requested to pay with cash in RMB or credit card. The
amount debited from your account will vary due to fluctuations in
the exchange rate. There is normally a 4% additional bank charge.
Participants can exchange their currencies at airports, major hotels
and banks in China. The exchange rate will be given daily by the
Bank of China. Currently, 1 USD can be exchanged for about 6.5
RMB yuan.
Emergencies
If you or any other delegate is unwell, an accident or any other
emergency occurs, while at the conference venue, please contact
the Registration Desk or any staff member.
Lost Property
If you see any unattended parcel, please report to one of the
congress staff members. If you lose anything at the venue, please
enquire at the Registration Desk.
Insurance
The congress organizers recommend participants to possess travel,
property medical or other necessary insurances before coming to
China. The congress organizers cannot be held responsible for the
costs resulting from personal accidents or property loss during the
congress.

Mobile Phones
Participants are kindly requested to turn off their cell phones or
keep the cell phones in vibration state when entering the congress
rooms and in the poster area.
Smoking Policy
In the conference area, smoking is prohibited. Smoking is only
permitted in a few designated areas outside the building.
Time
Shanghai is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.
Weather
September is a little hot in Shanghai, typically most of time is rainy.
Temperature is around 24-29, while it is also a good time to stay
and visit Shanghai and elsewhere in China. Make sure to carry an
umbrella because there will be shower occasionally.
Water
It is not recommended to directly drink the water from the tap in
your hotel room or at the congress area. If you want to drink cold
water, it is best to order or buy bottled water, mineral or distilled
water. Hotels generally provide an electrically heated kettle to boil
water from the tap in your room. Some hotels also provide a special
tap in the lavatory that delivers a flow of purified water for drinking.
This advice also applies to your pre-congress or post-congress
travel in other cities in China.
Voltage, Socket and Plugs
The electrical current in China is 220-volts, 50HzA/C. Hotels
generally provide wall sockets in every room,accommodating both
the standard “Flat blade attachmentplug (Type A)”and common
“Oblique flat blades withground(inverted V) plug (Type I)”as well as
the not-socommon“Round pin attachment plug (Type C)”as shown
in following photographs.
