A sense of color light and color (Guelimanuel Grullon)
1. A Sense of Color:
Light and Color
By Guelimanuel Grullon
2. No Artificial Light
Having no added or artificial light at all in your picture can go
well with the colors that you use if there’s a lot of natural light.
You could also do with very low natural light if you have a very
low F-stop, you could compensate for the loss of almost no
light.
3. Picture #1:
No light
For this picture, there is
almost way you can see
the color. This place is
pitch black and makes the
color almost unnoticeable.
4. Picture #2:
Pro Mode
For this picture, I tried and make
the camera capture more light by
opening the lens more. This,
although made the picture of less
quality and made it look very
grainy, made the color more
visible by a little bit more.
5. Artificial Light
Artificial light can be a very good use for your picture and the
colors that you are using. Either if it’s using flash or just lights
from your room if you are indoors, it can make all of the colors
pop.
6. Picture #3:
Flashy
The only thing I did different in this photo
compared to image #1 is that I enabled flash, and
the color starts to pop out (The room is still as
dark as before). But the problem here is that the
middle of the photo is way too bright in some
parts because of the flash. Since the material, not
the color, is foil, then the color looks very bright
on some points, then very dark on others.
7. Picture #4:
Fluorescent
Lighting
For this picture, I turned on a white
fluorescent light. The light is
distributed more equally through the
color, but some parts still look way to
bright on the color. It is very reflecting
and just makes other parts dark again.
8. Picture #5:
Incandescent- ish
For this last picture, the lighting has
changed from a white fluorescent bulb, to
an incandescent colored LED light. This
makes the color look warmer and doesn’t
look so intense on one part, even though
there’s a little bit of reflectiveness in the
edges.
9. Conclusion
Different kinds of light can create different scenes of different
kinds of colors. It can make the color cool, warm, or just very
shiny. Color and light are both dependent to make the
pictures pop out.
