9. Surgery Communication System
St. Louis Children’s Specialty Care Center asked
us to design and develop a system to deliver
just-in-time messaging to patients, as they move
through the steps of preparation to post-
discharge. No PHI is transmitted to mobile app.
The resulting communication system includes..
Back end:
• Content management (CMS)
• Case input tool
• Setting and rules-based engine
• Push notification for messaging
• Staff & management dashboards
• Analytics
Client (patient) mobile app:
• 2-step verification upon login
• Notification center (message receipt)
• Procedure-specific content for the phases of
Prepare, Your Stay and Care at Home
10. UX Driven
Our lead designer and leadership hold
certifications in UX/User eXperience
through Nielsen Norman Group.
New product and module designs are
prototyped, then usability tested and
adjusted to optimize ease-of-use.
We have also partnered with clients to
identify and remove barriers of use which
are faced by Medicaid populations.
Re-writing content for health literacy and
mobile are additional strengths we bring to
our projects.
Analytics Driven
Analytics hold a multi-faceted role for our team.
We depend on them as KPIs - to identify and
communicate project success to our clients. We
also use them to hone the development of our
mobile functions.
The next slide demonstrates both KPI and ROI
for one of our clients. We often work with their
web teams to decide upon which URLs to create
UTM codes – so we can identify user actions as
they move from mobile to website connections.
Internally, we recently analyzed several years of
data to enhance our symptom search
functionality. When available, data is at the
center of our decision making.
