curriculum. It may be a model, globe, a picture, a chart, maps, film strips, samples of
pass books, balance sheet, etc…To keep them in safe custody and to ensure easy
availability it is necessary to have a separate room for social science. The special room is
known as the social science laboratory, which is meant to create the proper
environment that would stimulate learning.
There is no specific area for social science laboratory. The only requirement is that it
would be spacious enough to contain all the instructional aids and to accommodate the
students of a class. it will have to be larger than an ordinary classroom. It should have a

social science teaching and related activities in a school. It will enable the teacher to
produce dynamic and lively interaction among physical things and students. Above all it
should be placed where ideas can come to life and be illustrated and activated, which
will help to make the abstract ideas and experiences more lively and realistic. The
impression thus gained will sustain forever and hence will be transferrable to all related
walks of life. Let it become an interesting and exiting centre for activity for all students
