OBJECTIVES:
The main objectives of this project are to
 Develop a plan for an indoor auditorium as per IS code and NBC specifications.
 Carry out analysis and design of an indoor auditorium using STAAD.Pro software.
 Design critical structural elements of an indoor auditorium manually as per IS:456-
2000 specifications.
METHODOLOGY:
The methodology adopted to achieve the objectives are
 Planning of an indoor auditorium with a seating capacity of 2000 people at NBKRIST as per IS and
NBC specifications using AutoCAD software.
 Analysis and design of an indoor auditorium for dead load, live load, wind load and their
combinations using STAAD Pro software.
 Identification of critical elements from the analysis and design of the same manually as per IS:456-
2000.
 Comparison of manual design and design from software for the economical design of an auditorium.
