This training session provides instruction on positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), social-emotional learning (SEL), and classroom management techniques for paraprofessionals. Participants will watch videos on PBIS and effective teaching, complete an assignment to develop their own behavior plan or analyze their school's PBIS program, and reflect on sections from pamphlets in a journal. The objectives are to learn about PBIS and how schools implement it, the benefits of SEL, alternative classroom management strategies, and see examples of good management through modeling videos.
