2. Jacob
The costume for Jacob was inspired by middle class
students. The costume is made up of modern high-street
clothes. The regular use of blue matches with the use of
water and rain in the music video which contradicts with
the title of the music video and song as it is called
“Summer Song”.
The grey jumper breaks up the blue and also fits with
current high-street fashion as the ‘smart’ look is very
popular at the moment. A jumper similar to this is used in
the music video “You and I” by One Direction which is a
very popular music video and band.
Jeans and especially blue jeans are one of the most
common pieces of high-street clothes worn in modern
society and so are easily recognisable. It will also make it
easier for the audience to relate to the character if they
wear similar clothes to them.
