Zane Middle School students presented two sustainability projects - an upcycled disc golf course and an edible landscaping garden. For the disc golf course, they spoke to the counselor about installing a portable course around campus using upcycled materials but encountered issues with only having one basket. For the edible garden, they have successfully grown a variety of fruits, berries and herbs with minimal maintenance, though could benefit from fencing to protect from wildlife and more informational materials. Both projects provided suggestions for improvements to increase sustainability and usability.
