My responsibilities as a labor and delivery nurse were to assist women during the entire process of
childbirth. Starting with a thorough physicalassessment to the mother and assessing the fetus during labor
by interpreting the fetalheart monitor. Iwas also responsible for monitoring my patient’s and fetalvital
signs during the labor process. Timing of the patient’scontractions and cervicaldilation was crucial
