UNM Young Writer’s Conference (ages 11-17)
Learn the ins and outs of writing and getting published
from professional writers. Limited to first 60 participants.
Fee includes a box lunch and snacks.

Spring Break Camps: Morning
Note: Lunchtime supervision is offered from 12-12:30pm for
all campers attending both morning and afternoon sessions
at UNMCE.
On-Campus Day Camp (ages 6-11)
Make new friends in a safe, fun camp environment. Led by
UNM Staff members, the camp will cover topics ranging
from science, to arts & crafts, to health and fitness activities.
Course: 17300 $145 For: 4 sessions

CE North Building Continuing Education Staff
LEGO NASA Space Mission Camp (ages 6-11)
During this four day Space Camp, engage in a teaching
lesson followed by building LEGO models based on NASA
space missions. Each child receives a Bricks 4 Kidz T-shirt.
CE South Building Pat Masters
Intro to Design: Spring Break Camp (ages 9-12)
Stretch your creativity and explore design through both
the artistic and hands-on aspects of architecture. Students
will investigate the elements of design including light and
shadow, shapes and forms, materials and color while creat-
ing their own structures and visual designs.

Toon Time: Born to Draw Camp (ages 7-11)
While having fun drawing cartoon characters, students will
be introduced to the formal elements of drawing, including
line, shape, placement, angles, textures, value, color and
perspective. Note: Materials will be provided.
UNM West – Rio Rancho Elaine Cimino
Junior Robotics Camp (ages 4-7)
Junior engineers will enjoy building and programming a
variety of simple animated characters using LEGO WE-DO
robots and basic programming skills. Engineers registered
for both morning and afternoon camps will be provided a
supervised lunch period between camps. Students must
provide their own lunch—no refrigeration will be available.
Engineering for Kids Engineering for Kids Staff
Survival Engineering Camp I:
Engineers Cove (ages 7-14)
Engineers will find themselves stranded on an abandoned
island filled with perilous obstacles. Engineers registered for
both morning and afternoon camps will be provided a super-
vised lunch period between camps. Students must provide
their own lunch—no refrigeration will be available.
Spring Break Camps: Afternoon
Magical Marionettes and Puppets (ages 8-12)
Have fun creating your own favorite magical marionette
characters such as wizards, fairies or dragons. Students will
have a chance to learn how to improvise and write a simple
story script. At the end of the week we will have a perfor-
mance for friends & family. A $5 materials fee is due to the
instructor at the start of the first session.

Make Your Case: Introduction to Law Camp
(ages 10-14)
Curious about the law? This camp will introduce kids to the
legal process through hands-on participation in a mock trial.
Led by an experienced judge and mock trial coach, partici-
pants will enhance their skills in public speaking, critical
thinking, and organization as they make their case.

LEGO Camp: Marvel Superheroes (ages 6-11)
During this four day camp, engage in a teaching lesson each
day before building motorized LEGO models like the Batman
Tumbler, Spiderman Slinger and Hulk Puncher plus favorite
Super Heroes like the Hulk, Spiderman and Ironman. Each
child receives a Bricks 4 Kidz T-shirt.

Spanish Culture and Language Through Design
(ages 8-12)
Through a variety of hands-on projects, students will have
a unique opportunity to explore the ways that culture can
impact design while gaining exposure to Spanish language
and culture with a special focus on Bolivia.

Junior Engineering of Travel Camp (ages 4-7)
Junior engineers will work as a team to design and build
their very own boat, plane, and even a rocket to see who
can travel the furthest around the world. Engineers regis-
tered for both morning and afternoon camps will be provided
a supervised lunch period between camps. Students must
provide their own lunch—no refrigeration will be available.
Survival Engineering Camp II: Rescue Robotics
(ages 7-14)
Engineers will learn the role robotics can play in survival.
Engineers registered for both morning and afternoon camps
will be provided a supervised lunch period between camps.
Students must provide their own lunch—no refrigeration will
be available.
Yoga Camp for Kids (ages 6-11)
Children can strengthen their sense of confidence, focus,
breath, creativity, physical awareness and appreciation of
their whole being through yoga, movement and art.

Spring Break for Teens
Introduction to Silversmithing and Jewelry Making
(ages 13-17)
Participants will make a sterling silver ring and earrings, brace-
lets or pendants under the guidance of a jeweler. Note: Mate-
rials fee of $80 is payable to the instructor at the first session
and includes all materials. No prior experience necessary.

Introduction to Enameling (ages 13-17)
This class provides you with an overview of the ancient art
of enameling. No previous jewelry making or metalworking
experience is necessary. Note: Materials fee of $85 due at
the beginning of first class.

Participants learn the basics of Tae Kwon Do. Enrolling in
this class allows you to take unlimited classes based on
Blackman Taekwondo Age-Based class schedule. Uniform
and patches are included in the fee.
