I want to take the next step with my career and educate myself more. I have been
working in the aerospace industry for 4 years now but i want to learn more about
different areas and different roles which is why i would like to proceed on to work
for a reputable company within the industry on a permanent basis.

Recently i was offered a fantastic opportunity at Utc aerospace, formerly known as Goodrich.I
am currently one of two supervisors in the chemical processing department for actuation
systems working in a fast pace and high pressured environment.I have uploaded my cv due to
being and contract which has its advantages but also disadvantages but I wish to seek out a
permanent position.
The process shop carries out processing on actuation systems for Airbus and executes processes
such as:
-Electroless nickel.
-Cadmium and Lh cadmium.
-Anodize and hard anodize.
-chrome and hard chrome.
-Silver.

In this role have to inspect every part which arrives to ensure that it is within conformance
standards. It is also my duty to secondary inspect / reject every part which leaves.
The shop also processes parts for heat treament, stress and de embrittle. Grit blasting and
stripping are also carried out within the shop.
My main duties include:
-Daily meetings with shop floor employees on an sqcdp agenda. Safety, quality, cost, delivery
and people.
-Attending daily meetings with different cells on sites on schedules , deliveries and
tracking.Meetings are not just within my section but with managers of other ares in the chain of
flow to ensure a smooth and logistical production.
-Ensuring 5s is up to date within the plating shop.
-Health and safety walks carried out weekly.
-Ensuring all tpms are carried out on time.
-Making sure test pieces are in on schedule.
-Passing off parts on secondary inspection leaving the shop.
-Making sure all equipment is maintained or making sure it is fixed in efficient time.
-attending training events on ACE.
-Displaying good leadership skills and encouragement to operators.
Although i am in a supervisory role i often get my hands dirty if need be. As well as supervise I
also book every part in and out of plating to ensure I know where every part is within the
section.

Main achievements as my time in this role was to manage and operate a cell which started off as
non profitable to a standard where profit was being made and the overall quality product
exceeded exceptionally better than previous.
Worked close with managers and engineers on tooling designs for the product to achieve a more
efficient process.
Duties included- managing delivery dates, despatch dates , liaising with customers and also with
managers and customer service.

often put in supervisory roles to train new employees.
Daily tasks:
-Using measuring equipment, micrometers and vernier gauges.
-masking jobs with paint to prevent over plate.

-Taking jobs to plating tanks , setting up crane and submerging parts in different solutions.

Setting up amps a currents for plating tanks.
- Heat treatment of parts. Setting temperatures and times.
-Inspection. pre inspecting and post Inspecting parts using u.v rooms ,microscopes and
micrometers. checking for mis plate, over plate, pitting , scratches or any other various damage.
-Rumbler. Using rumbler room checking there are enough stones , maintaing clean area as well
as setting up the machine ensuring it is safely set up.
Tooling - Setting up tooling using engineering pictures.
Stripping- stripping parts using nitric acid.
-Shot blasting and aqua blasting ensuring parts are clean and ready for plating.

Barcode youth cafe is a national lottery funded organisation operated by the council. a place for
young people to seek advice, help or simply a place to relax .This role held great responsibility
due to working with young people and a vast amount of skill was required. responsibilities
included :
Banking- calculating weekly takings as well as submitting them to the bank weekly.
Operating venue- opening up in the morning, closing up at night. running the bar area .
organising events. e.g i once organised a karaoke competition with over 20 competitors.
solving problems, violence, practical, injuries ,social.
stocking- stock the venue regularly . stock taking, collecting from supermarkets.
venue maintenance- refurbishing benches, chairs, painting , cleaning . making sure venue was
safe and of a good standard for operation.
Good people skills developed due to working closely with parents, the police and councillors as
well as outside charities.

gym . I find competing keeps me focused on goals and challenges which i enjoy.
I am also interested in new opportunities and business ideas.
