4. Sally Yuen faced a problem about her
office management. Cannery manager
blamed her for this latest turnover crisis
among Cannery employee. Because she
was not able to select good employees.
DP maintained regular workforce of 200
and temporary workforce of 150
employee. Temporary employee got
higher base salary than regular employee.
5. There are two kinds of industry according
to their payment system. A firm who pays
below-industry hourly wages and
another pays above-industry hourly
wages. That industry pays below-industry
hourly wages, gives a bonus to the
employee to make up the difference.
Another one pays a minimum bonus or
not yet. The 1st
system of payment is
undoubtedly good according to the
managerial system.
6. DP’s employee attitude survey results
show that there is a turnover problem for
the dissatisfaction of the workers. Despite
a great place to work, workers have
some complain. Permanent untenured
workers did not get sick leave when they
need. Temporary workers had not any
insurance. Etc.
7. If I were Shally, at the time of selecting
employee, I would choose the best
employees and I would like to train
them. I also trying to manage a same
wage scale to all employee and show
them at the time of joining so that they
can’t raise their voice in future.
