1) In the early 1400s, centaur populations began spreading across Eastern Europe and Spain, where hunting them became popular and brutal under Queen Isabella's "Centaur Hunting Act."
2) A young squib named Christopher Columbus worked to illegally protect over 10,000 centaurs in secret reserves over 5 years.
3) In 1492, with help from wizard Ricardo Verde, Columbus smuggled over 10,000 centaurs to the Americas on his ships through magic, establishing new civilizations and balancing the centaur population.

Indeed, the oldest surviving travel account of an overseas explorer in the American Southwest comes from the Afghani Buddhist Monk, Hui Shen. He sailed to the West Coast of Fu Sang during the
5th century AD. According to the monk, the Native People of Fu Sang (or ancient Mexico) had both
horses and wagons. If we jump over to the East Coast, we find a similar account dating to the 13th century. According to Bjorn of Iceland, he fell overboard while landing his dory in the Atlantic surf. He was rescued by a party of Celtic Natives, or Welsh Colonists, “riding on horseback.”
Everywhere that explorers traveled along the Eastern Seaboard of North America during the 16th,
17th, and 18th centuries, they reported seeing Indians (or Welsh settlers) riding horses. When John Cabot landed along the East Coast in 1497, he reported seeing “the dung of draft animals” (such as horses and cattle). The Natives presumably kept their livestock “out of sight” due to quite reasonable fears that alien visitors who landed along their shores might take cattle for a festive evening meal. When Jacques Cartier explored the region of Quebec in 1535, his Native host informed him that there was a tribe in the Far West where the Indians rode on horses.

The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

These creatures were becoming more populated everywhere, and especially Spain. The famous “Centaur Hunting Act” considered one of the most brutal acts ever to be declared by Queen Isabella stated that until the wide population of centaurs was tamed down, there would be only a select few that would be spared in special reserves. Eventually, a young squib, Christopher Columbus, came on to this corruption and did his best to stop it. At least 10,000 centaurs had been saved in the first 5 years after that. Isabella never became aware of this illegal protection of centaurs going on, and even was fooled again whenever Columbus requested a fleet to the Americas, a journey in 1492. Columbus already had known about America beforehand and felt it was the best place to even out the population, without killing the centaurs. A wizard by the name of Ricardo Verde helped charm all the passengers of the ship to be completely blind that another charm had been put on the bottom of the ship to hold more than 10,00 centaurs. This is considered one of the world’s biggest smuggling of creatures ever known to man. The result of Columbus and Verde’s trip was the fruits of new civilizations in Americas along with an evened out population of centaurs.
