This document presents X-ray diffraction (XRD) data for super alloy 718 and pure iron. The XRD patterns and calculated lattice parameters match those expected for pure iron, indicating the analyzed materials have a pure iron composition. Vickers hardness tests were also performed on two pure iron samples, yielding average hardness values of 109.3 and 101.3 with standard deviations of 18.9 and 13.9 respectively. Finally, the document states that soft iron is well-suited for transformer cores due to its high permeability and low coercivity.
