- Good Morning, I am Pedro Gonçalves, Co-founder of Xpand Add-ons. I am really excited to be here today to share with you some information about my team and our products.
- Xpand IT is a IT Services Provider based on Portugal and founded in 2003. Our mission statement is âto Build a Great Company that breathes technology to inspire others to achieve outstanding results.â
- We currently have 200 employees distributed along 5 business units which address specific technologies. We work with BI, Big Data, Middleware and Collaboration Tools.
- In terms of services, we provide a complete garnish of the development cycle including Strategic Consulting, Development, UX&UI Design, Training, Application Support and Services Management.
- We joined the Atlassian Partnership Program in 2004, so we are one of the earliest Atlassian Partners. As Atlassian Partners we have participated in dozens of Atlassian Projects, and we developed several add-ons in the scope of those projects. Some of those add-ons end up finishing in the Atlassian Marketplace.
- Those add-ons became so successful that we created a brand for that business - Xpand Add-ons. Xpand Add-ons is the division of Xpand IT that is behind the products that we have in the Atlassian Marketplace. But now that add-ons are being replaced by Apps, we will need to change our name!
- We have 30 employees working across 3 Offices in Portugal and in the UK. We also have have 2 of the most popular apps in the Atlassian Marketplace, with more than 3500 installations and more than 200 impressive reviews.
- Our Add-ons are Xray for JIRA and Xporter for JIRA. They are both top-rated add-ons in the Atlassian Marketplace.
- Xray is one of the most famous Test Management Apps for JIRA, and currently listed as the #1 top-rated Test Management Tool for JIRA. It allows to do Manual & Automated Test Management inside JIRA.
- Quality assurance teams use Xray to Specify, Plan and Execute their Tests and perform requirement coverage analysis. Xray is completely independent of testing methodologies, languages and frameworks.
- One of the main advantages of Xray is that in its core, it uses Jira concepts, including Jira Issues, Permission, Workflows, Screens and Custom Fields, so the usage of Xray if very straight-forward to any user familiar with Jira.
- Xray for Jira is the only Test Management Add-on that is completely focused on Testing Automation by supporting the integration with the most popular automated testing frameworks, including Cucumber, Selenium, Junit and Unit.
- Other key features of Xray is the integration with Jiraâs Agile Boards. With Xray, Agile Boards display the testing coverage of any requirement issues, including user stories and epics.
- Regarding reporting, Xray provides real-time information and reports about the testing progress across releases and sprints. We provide several reports, charts and gadgets and we also integrate will eazyBI, a App that you will learn about today.
- Xporter is our other add-on in the Atlassian Marketplace. It allows users to extract information from JIRA into Word, Excel and PDF documents.
- The magic behind Xporter is that you donât need to be a technical guy to create your templates. Templates are design in Word and Excel, so any business user can create templates.
- Xporter supports exporting data from several add-ons, including Structure, Tempo and Insight. It also allows tickets to be exported from the Jira Service Desk Customer Portal.
- Because security is very important to eerybody, Xporter allows the definition of tight security and permission schemes, so you prevent users to export critical information from Jira.
- As Xporter is quite extensive, we provide a bootcamp to ensure our customers get the most out of it. These bootcamps include several tutorials and examples on creating templates.
