The W-STEM project aims to improve strategies and mechanisms for attracting, retaining, and guiding women in STEM programs in Latin American higher education. The project will measure gender equality in STEM enrollment and retention, implement university policies to promote STEM studies for girls and guidance in STEM programs, and develop an online training for universities. The meeting covered the project overview, preliminary management tasks, and key issues from a recent grantholders' meeting, including a focus on dissemination, mobility actions, financial rules, and sustainability.

W-STEM project will

• There should be very careful with the eligibility of the justified costs
(although they are initially eligible, but it is considered that the results do
not correspond with the justified economic amount
• All co-funding must be included in the report, but no documentation is
needed. No minimum quantity is required
• Take into account the exchange rates
1) From start of eligibility period until receipt of second pre-financing:
monthly rate of reception of FIRST PRE-FINANCING
2) From date of receipt of second pre-financing until end of eligibility
period: monthly rate of reception of SECOND PRE-FINANCING
• Infrastructure purchasing as soon as possible
• If the equipment invoice is more than 25.000€ a tender is mandatory
• Subcontracting -> an agreement is needed
• If the subcontracting amount is more than 25.000€ a tender is
mandatory
• Travel ceilings (by distance) must be taken into accounts. Travels must
be defined as soon as possible
