This document provides an overview of the importance of training managers to lead transnational teams effectively by understanding cultural differences. It discusses research by Hall and Trompenaars on high/low context cultures and seven cultural dimensions. Managers must avoid assumptions and learn each culture's communication styles, values, and orientations. Understanding a team's cultures prepares managers for diverse perspectives that can open new opportunities if conflicts are reduced through respecting differences. Training develops managers' ability to build efficient, high-performing transnational teams and give companies a competitive advantage in today's global business environment.
