wp-cli

The wp-cli tool is a powerful command line interface for WordPress that allows administrators to handle many tasks from the command line. It can be used to download, install, update, and manage WordPress core files, themes, plugins and more. Some key capabilities include installing and managing themes, plugins, and languages; performing database operations; and managing cron events and schedules. It requires a UNIX-like environment and PHP 5.3.2 or higher.

What is it? The wp-cli tool is a powerful command line interface for WordPress, which allows you to handle almost everything that an administrator would need. It's runned by MIT license: "All code in this repository, unless otherwise specified, is hereby licensed under the MIT Public License"
What could we do with this tool? ● Download, install, update and otherwise manage WordPress proper. ● Install, activate and deactivate themes; ● Install, activate and deactivate plugins; ● Install languages; ● Manage WP-Cron events and schedules; ● Manage attachments. ● Manage database;
● Perform basic database operations. ● Publish posts; ● User management: ○ Add users; ○ Remove users; ○ Update users (lot's of fields); ○ Load users from a csv file and etc…; What could we do with this tool?
Requirements ● UNIX-like environment: ○ OS X, Linux, FreeBSD; ○ Cygwin (limited support in Windows environment); ● PHP 5.3.2 or later; ● WordPress 3.5.2 or later.

    wp-clifor beginners A commandline interface for WordPress

    What is it? Thewp-cli tool is a powerful command line interface for WordPress, which allows you to handle almost everything that an administrator would need. It's runned by MIT license: "All code in this repository, unless otherwise specified, is hereby licensed under the MIT Public License"

    What could wedo with this tool? ● Download, install, update and otherwise manage WordPress proper. ● Install, activate and deactivate themes; ● Install, activate and deactivate plugins; ● Install languages; ● Manage WP-Cron events and schedules; ● Manage attachments. ● Manage database;

    ● Perform basicdatabase operations. ● Publish posts; ● User management: ○ Add users; ○ Remove users; ○ Update users (lot's of fields); ○ Load users from a csv file and etc…; What could we do with this tool?

    Requirements ● UNIX-like environment: ○OS X, Linux, FreeBSD; ○ Cygwin (limited support in Windows environment); ● PHP 5.3.2 or later; ● WordPress 3.5.2 or later.
