Ephesians 4:11-16 Sins that cripple the church. God wants us to be holy and without sin. Sin in the church spreads to others. We must separate ourselves from sinful influences. Sin cripples the church and keeps it from being effective.
What is our moral compass? Everyone has some theological moral compass. As a Christian, our moral compass should be the word of God. Many in the world use television, social media, the teachings of men, parents, or their college professor as their guideline for formulating their moral compass. How do Christians point the way to Christ and His word as a compass of right and wrong?

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

20“Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you people say that in
Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.” 21 Jesus said to
her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this
mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 “You
worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation
is from the Jews. 23 “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true
worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people
the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24 God is spirit, and those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
18Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because the LORD descended
upon it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace,

18. 17 But in giving this instruction, I do not praise you, because you come
together not for the better but for the worse. 18 For, in the first place, when
you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in

who are approved may become evident among you. 20 Therefore when you
meet together, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper, 21 for in your eating each

Editor's Notes
Preached at Merritt Island 7/2/2017 AM Lesson
An hour is coming - Christ knew He was between the that which was passing away and that which was to come. The Samaritans worshiped in ignorance. The Jews worshiped from knowledge. The Father seeks those who worship in spirit and in knowledge. Sometimes we ask the wrong question about worship.
True worship of God has been an issue since the beginning.
What constitutes worshiping in spirit?
If we partake of the communion ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK in “an unworthy manner” are we any better than those WHO DO NOT PARTAKE OF THE COMMUNION AT ALL?
In the last day, all will truly worship God because they will understand WHO HE IS! Ex: There are no atheist in foxholes. As long as there are test, there will be prayer in school.
John 4:23
The ark was holy because it pertained to God.
They worshiped God out of duty but They had failed to worship God for Who He is
God requires emotion, but one who bowls the knee to pray is not necessarily anymore devout than one who stands or sits. “The FEELING is not what defines truth rather, it is the truth which gives birth to feeling!”
