The battle of Britain spanned from July 10th to October 31st. The Luftwaffe or the German Air force made the first attack on British ships. Britain, with their new radar technology intercepted the bombers before they could strike. This was the beginning of the Battle of Britain. It was an all out air fight
The Germans continued to bomb Britain so Winton Churchill gave an inspiring speech telling Britain not to give up. The actual “dog fighting” ended on September 15 but the Germans continued to bomb London

The northern German army was at the outskirts of St. Petersburg by September 8, 1941. Stalingrad was a good city for industry. 110 tons of food were needed to keep the citizens alive at the city.
Most of the people had to take one-tenth of their normal calorie intake. Most of the sewage system was destroyed. Stalin was another reason why they had trouble winning the battle. He was an irrational leader and had all his troops at the city.
Americans landed on shore in French North Africa. U.S. army began a ground campaign against the Axis. More than 4 million would fight in Western Europe in the largest battle ever taken place.
