Farmers in India are charged by the government for receiving irrigation water supplied through canals and reservoirs. These charges, known as the assessment of irrigation water, vary between states and may include water rates based on crop type and area, increased land revenue due to benefits, and betterment levies representing the government's share. The rates charged for different crops also differ between states. Farmers are charged to recover project costs, generate state revenue, and cover maintenance costs, as well as to discourage wasteful water use. Methods of assessment include area-based charges, volumetric assessments using water meters, composite land revenue and water taxes, and permanent betterment levies.

Lighting Experiment
Takomborerwa Mazarura conducted a lighting experiment to find a way to eliminate shadows behind actors in a music video. They set up mock conditions with a backdrop and substitute actor. By placing a secondary light behind the substitute actor and moving them closer to the primary light, they were able to remove the shadow without additional shadows or contrasting light. This solution gave the desired effect of the actor seeming to emerge from the light, mimicking techniques used in other music videos.

Kanye West's "Homecoming" music video was filmed in black and white to give it a historic feel as Kanye explores his hometown of Chicago. It features Chris Martin performing in silhouette over footage of Kanye and Chicago, representing Kanye's close connection to the city. The low-budget video has Kanye dancing behind a reflective vehicle as buildings pass by, maintaining a professional look despite limited resources.
Scene Setup
To simulate a camera dolly or track for smooth camera movement without the proper equipment, the filmmakers mounted one of the actors or assistants to a trolley that a friend pushed slowly to achieve panning shots. Chairs were also placed around the edges of the white backdrop sheet to keep it flat and prevent movement during filming. The lighting setup included two bright red lights to illuminate the set and reduce shadows, a soft box to soften the video quality, and fluorescent lights above to eliminate shadows behind the actors.

Water is precious! The access to safe water in India has commendably improved from 72% in 1990 to 94% in 2014. Delay in providing facilities to counterbalance the population growth and water demand is the major problem in India. Water loss in water distribution systems in an important issue in India. Studies indicate that up to 50-60 percent of treated and pumped water in lost during transit form water treatment plant to consumer end. It has, therefore, attracted a lot of attention of practioners and the researchers as well over the past few years. High levels of non-revenue water (NRW) reflect huge volumes of water lost through physical and apparent loss components, not being invoiced to customers. It seriously affects the financial viability of water utilities through lost revenue and increased costs. The overall objective of a distribution system is to deliver wholesome water to consumers at adequate residual pressure in sufficient quantity and achieve continuity and maximum coverage by reducing losses. A case study of 4-pilot sites of Jaipur city was taken for NRW study. This paper provides a review of the issues and strategy pertaining to reduction of NRW with special reference to India and the necessity of evolving appropriate performance indicator.Mwrra.regulation.pptx

Arena of Irrigation Operation and Maintenance works The AP irrigation reform policy – aimed to address the maintenance crisis implementation of Operation and Maintenance activities through the elected WUAs and not through independent contractor system existed in the past. A) Maintenance Plan:- - essential to carry out irrigation works - describes the need and scope of the maintenance activities to be carried out by WUA and Irrigation Department. B) Utilisation of Funds:- - In April 1998, the government released a total grant of Rs.1,064.7 million to WUAs at the rate of Rs. 247/ha - for approximately 4.4 million hectares - During 1999-2000 the focus of works was entirely on minimum rehabilitation of irrigation structures - Also the government allotted uniform funds on the basis of command area to all WUAs
