This document provides an overview of navigating and using tools in Blackboard including: 1) How to navigate the Blackboard gateway page and course pages, differences between ANGEL and Blackboard navigation, and communication tools like announcements and email. 2) Methods for content creation in Blackboard like pages, files, links, and media. 3) A two-step process for migrating content from ANGEL into Blackboard including exporting from ANGEL and importing the file into Blackboard.

Step1. ANGEL (Export)
• Login to ANGEL
• Click on Manage Tab
• Select Export from “Data
Mangement”
• Select ANGEL Format and click
next
• Wait for the zip file to be created
• Download and save the zip file on
to the desktop
Step2. Blackboard (Import)
• Login to Blackboard
• Click on import package /view
logs from “Packages and
Utilities” tools
• Click on import package
• Browse the computer for the
zip file
• Select All from “Course
Material” and Submit
