pendek dan sederhana dengan ucapan, tekanan dan intonasi yang tepat
penggunaan simple past.

b. Memahami struktur kalimat yang menggunakan simple past tense.
c. Melafalkan kalimat interogatif dan kalimat positif dengan intonasi yang tepat.

B. Proses Pembelajaran
1. Determine the text to be used (Paragraph 1 and
2) and pre-select points for students to pause
during the reading process.
2. Teachers direct and activate students' thinking
prior to reading a passage by scanning the title,
chapter headings, illustrations.
3. Students read up to the first pre-selected
stopping point. The teacher then prompts the
students with questions about specific information
and asks them to evaluate their predictions and
refine them if necessary.
4. At the end of each section, students go back through
the text and think about their predictions. Students
should verify or modify their predictions by finding
supporting statements in the text. The teacher asks
questions such as:

 What did you find in the text to prove your
predictions?
 What did we read in the text that made you
change your predictions?
Discuss the result and give reward (Applause
and give point to the students) and punishment
(no point).

RENCANA PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN (RPP) SMP : SMP.ST.IGNASIUS Kelas/Semester : VIII / 1 Standar Kompetensi : Memahami makna teks tulis fungsional dan esei pendek sederhana berbentuk narrative yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekitar. Kompetensi Dasar : Membaca nyaring bermakna teks tulis fungsional dan eseiberbentuk narastive pendek dan sederhana dengan ucapan, tekanan dan intonasi yang tepat penggunaan simple past. Jenis teks : Narative Tema : Explorers Aspek/Skill : Membaca Alokasi Waktu :2 x 40 menit 1. Tujuan Pembelajaran Pada akhir pembelajaran, siswa dapat: a. Mengetahui kisah cerita Oregon Trail. b. Memahami struktur kalimat yang menggunakan simple past tense. c. Melafalkan kalimat interogatif dan kalimat positif dengan intonasi yang tepat. 2. Determine the text to be used (Paragraph 1 and 2) and pre-select points for students to pause during the reading process. 2. Teachers direct and activate students' thinking prior to reading a passage by scanning the title, chapter headings, illustrations. 3. Students read up to the first pre-selected stopping point. The teacher then prompts the students with questions about specific information and asks them to evaluate their predictions and refine them if necessary. 4. At the end of each section, students go back through the text and think about their predictions. Students should verify or modify their predictions by finding supporting statements in the text. The teacher asks questions such as: 1Confirm student’s prediction  What do you think about your predictions now?  What did you find in the text to prove your predictions?  What did we read in the text that made you change your predictions? Discuss the result and give reward (Applause and give point to the students) and punishment (no point). 2.
