Why You Should Stop Using Discussion ForumsMichelle Moore
Open almost any online course and you'll find discussion forums in one unit after the other. As teachers, we've been led to believe that forums are an important element of an online course. Forums are supposed to promote interaction, engagement, and a sense of community. Not so though, at least in most of the courses I've seen!
Community, interaction, and engagement are important, but forums are not required to make that happen. In this presentation, I'll tell you why you should stop using forums and what you should be doing instead!

Increasing Conference Collaboration By Shifting From A Market-Share Environme...Jeff Hurt
We are living in a world of hinge time (Collaborative Intelligence authors Dawna Markov and Angie McArthur). Our conferences are planned to educate attendees for an era that no longer exists. The challenges our attendees face are vastly different from the ones of the past.
Most of our conference attendees were educated on how to be right. We focus on individual and collective attention on deficits—cognitive, emotional, financial and industry-related says author Dawna Markova. Rarely have we been taught how to collaborate effectively with people across cultures, time zones and temperaments. Thus hinge time.

Reflective Practice in Schools - Some QuestionsJames Penstone
Context: first used for a workshop at Bangkok Patana School as part of the FOBISIA Heads' & Senior Leaders' Annual ConferenceNovember 2014.
The blurb for that workshop read as follows:As we encourage our students to develop reflective practice, we as educators also recognise the importance of self-reflection as part of our own professional learning and growth. In this workshop, James will deliver a short presentation introducing some of the main issues at stake with regards to integrating reflective practice into whole school improvement. Participants will share their school’s own experiences with others. The main learning outcome of the session will be to have an understanding of how schools might tackle some of the complexities involved in leading reflective practice amongst staff.

Yoga-Vasistha is considered the oldest text of yoga, written almost 3000 years before Patanjali. Meditation remained as an integral organ in all ages, however, masters included many physical, breathing, cleansing, and other practices as per the need for the contemporary society.
How & why to practice Padamasana– one of the two most important postures in Y...Girish Jha, MS
Asana practice is done to prepare the body, breath and mind for the higher practices leading to awakening and realization. While others masters practices many asana to return to the practice of the most important one, known as Padamasana.
Kundalini is the most misunderstood ‘word’ in Authentic Yoga/Tantra Tradition. A fundamental practice of Agama and Nigama (teachings of yoga and spirituality) passed onto disciples from the awakened masters. The common practice known to the world is “ascending of Kundalini” while descending is another way revealed by masters. The Himalayan masters way of descent of Kundalini, though challenging, and demands persistence, regular practice is free from all dangers as generally explained.
Awakening leads to Peace, harmony and happiness
Regular practice manages stress, anxiety, sufferings; brings inner harmony thereby resolves relationship issues and raises the consciousness leading to greater realizations of one’s self.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
