After directing The Bourne Ultimatum, Paul Greengrass adapted the non-fiction book "Imperial Life in the Emerald City" into a film called Green Zone. Principal filming took place in Spain, Morocco, and the UK from January to December 2008. However, the marketing campaign for Green Zone was criticized for misleading audiences into believing it was a new Bourne film, which contributed to its box office flop in the US despite a $140 million budget.
