and counselling
IS THIS RIGHT?

One needs to
work for
different
reasons or
purpose in life.
And it changes
from person to
person and
family to
family.
8 GREAT
REASONS
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 7
Are you feeling bad that
you are not able to be a
perfect mom that you
want to be? Do not feel
about it. Working mom’s
guilt is a common
occurrence, especially
among those who have
highly demanding jobs.
We shall see a few ways
to deal with it in this
presentation.
JUST DO NOT WORRY
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 8
Think about what
motivates you to go to
work every day. When
you find the right
reasons, it will be
easier to accept that
you are doing what you
have to do. You have to
trust the choices that
you have made for the
betterment of your
family.
REALISE THE IMPORTANCE OF
RIGHT CHOICE
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 9
Pat yourself on the back,
for you are an
independent, successful
woman, who can support
herself and her family. So
what if you can’t witness
every single moment your
child is going through?
Sometimes, even stay-at-
home mothers miss the
important milestones.
SAVOUR THE MOMENTS YOU HAVE
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 10
List out the reasons
why you need to work
at a demanding job
with long hours. This
can help you put a lot
of things in
perspective.
PRIORITIZE YOUR NEEDS
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 11
If your relatives and
family members make
snide comments about
how to raise children
the right way and why
you should be staying
at home, then find an
excuse to leave the
room. Shut negative
vibes out of your life.
AVOID PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU
FEEL GUILTY
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 12
If you think you can’t
play in the sunshine
with your kids,
scrapbook every living
moment and indulge in
activities through the
day to bring their
intelligence quotient to
a ‘genius’ level, then
you are wrong. You just
need to manage your
schedules well.
BE REALISTIC AND PRACTICAL
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 13
A judicious balance
between office and
work, plus spending
time with the child are
what you need to focus
on. A working mom
should try to manage it
all in such a way that
she is neither
neglecting the work nor
feel that her child is
being ignored.
MAINTAIN THE RIGHT BALANCE
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 14
MOM IS A MOM
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 15
HOW DO YOU FEEL
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 16
YOUR CHILDREN ARE GOING
TO BE SUCCESSFUL
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 17
QUALITY TIME
12-11-2015 Working Mom's Guilt 18
 What other mothers are
doing is none of your
business. Doing what works
for you, for your children and
your family to stay happy,
good humoured and
connected is ultimately all
that matters. Which is why
it’s time to lower the bar to a
scalable height, get off your
own back, and reclaim your
right to enjoy raising your
kids. Doing so won’t hurt your
children – will free up
precious energy to navigate
the journey of nurturing your
babies into resourceful, well-
rounded, and gloriously
imperfect adults!
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE!!
