Time Systems International
Introduction
• Time Systems International, based in Englewood, New Jersey,
assists businesses with a variety of human resources functions. A
workforce management company, Time Systems International is
continuing to evolve to provide clients updated technologies and
services. Workforce management practices, as a whole, are
evolving to adapt to the new workforce landscape.
For one, employers are moving toward an employee-focused
workplace. While the function of work is productivity, employers
are recognizing that how employees feel about their work space
can have an impact on their morale, and importantly, their
productivity. For this reason, companies are focusing on creating
opportunities for more socialization. Finally, diversity and
inclusion will play a huge role in ensuring that workers are not
only communicating and connecting with others, but that they
also feel good about their work.
Workforce Management
• The workforce platform in the near future will focus more on
implementing self-service applications. Right now, employees can
access much of their payroll and benefits information online. However,
newer technologies hope to build on others that will serve as a one-stop
shop where employees can access all of their information.
Just as AI has entered the national conversation, it will become a part of
the workforce management landscape. AI is expected to be used in
areas of hiring that tend to be time-consuming, for example, scheduling
appointments for interviews. Finally, in the area of predictive analysis, AI
is expected to assist managers by simply providing data related to
overtime spikes, turnover, pay equity, and cost of labor.
In terms of the way professionals work, the “gig economy” is flourishing.
At least one-third of the workforce is a contract or freelance worker.
Significantly, this population of workers is expected to surpass
traditional full-time workers in the next seven years. In response to
these changes, workforce management businesses are expected to crop
up to meet this group's growing demands.
