2. Spins Some basic figure skating spins are... Corkscrew- is when you cross your foot over your other. Sit Spin- is when you sit down with your leg out and spin. Camel Spin- is when you do a spiral while spinning round with your leg. Layback Spin- is when you lay back and spin with your arms in a creative way above your head. Flying sit- is when you spin in a sit spin position but go into it by jumping. Flying Camel- is when you do a camel spin but jump into it. Illusion- this is when you are spinning in a camel spin position and flip your leg over and trick people into thinking that you are VERY flexible.

3. Figure Skating Intro Figure skating lets you express your feelings through physical, artistic expression. It’s a way of letting out your emotions and letting them be your guide along the ice. The music you skate to is inspiring, it helps you feel the rhythm of the beat your skating too.

5. A Future Olympian One future Olympian who is quite famous is Sasha Cohen. She grew up in Laguna Niguel, Orange County, but her home is Newport Beach. She has previously been in the Olympics and won silver. She has also toured across Canada with Stars on Ice.

6. Ice dance Ice Dance is a form of figure skating without the jumps and spins, although they do perform twizzles. Twizzles are when you spin repeatedly in a line. Ice dance is more choreographed and more about dance then figure skating. They would try to match their routine with the music.
