2. ¿ To whom is the contest directed?
The contest is especially directed towards rural women and their
organizations, who struggle every day for better opportunities and
equality in the rural world.
Through the images and stories obtained, the organizing institutions look
to give a voice to rural women and their organizations, to go in depth in
the positive experiences and challenges that they currently face.
3. ¿What are the categories?
Short narratives that give testimony to the
experiences of women who live and work in rural
areas. These stories can be presented in writing or
through images (pictures and/or illustrations).
Rural women can participate, with the support of
extension workers and professionals who provide
technical assistance in the rural sector
Life stories
4. Stories of the experiences of organizations that
demonstrate the struggle for equality and the rights of
rural women to natural resources, health, education,
work, among others. These experiences should
emphasize the collective and the importance of
associative work, as well as give light to the
achievements and challenges in reducing the gender gap
of organizations.
Mixed organizations in which rural women are active can
participate. These can also be supported by extension
workers and professionals who provide technical
