Here she is show how the men are; Stern action pose, holding a gun, looking out at the reader with a cold aggressive stare. These two covers are the first I could find with female cover subjects. They are clearly very sexual and provocative, with the focus on their sexuality; “The hot issue” and “Seduced”. Here a woman is shown as helpless and need of comfort from the man. Sheʼs weak and gentle, lower then the man and needing his protection. Both covers strongly hint at nudity, covering enough up for the cover to go on stands. This is meant to be alluring to the reader, making them want to buy the magazine to see more. The backgrounds are empty and white, they donʼt matter, they arenʼt the focus. The blankness pulls attention to the women. It also highlights the red in the logo, the colour giving a dangerous and sexy look to the covers. Both of these girls are looking right at the reader with a smoldering look. This with the alluring poses and cloths creates a seductive look to them. They are seducing the readers. They are not set up to be pretty or gentle.
