Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven were influential composers from Austria and Germany respectively. Mozart was born in 1756 in Salzburg, Austria and began composing at age 5, producing over 600 works marked by clarity, balance, and precision. Beethoven was born in 1770 in Bonn, Germany and also began composing at a young age, studying under Haydn. His pieces were emotionally impactful and technically challenging. Both composers made significant contributions to symphonies, concertos, chamber music and more, though Mozart was able to hear his music while Beethoven went completely deaf in his later years.
