“Therefore, will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall
divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul
unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he
bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”
(Isaiah 53:12 )
It is God the father who allowed His son to die on the cross. It pleased
the Lord to bruise Him and to make His soul an offering for sin. It was
not the human hands that took Him to the cross but the divine will and
purpose. The Passover Lamb is killed between the evenings on 14th of
the first month of Nisan (Abib).
Between the evenings is the time from 3: 00 PM to 6:00 PM. On the
day of crucifixion, there was darkness all over the Land from 12 Noon
to 3:00 PM. And at 3:00 PM He cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama
sabachthani?” Thereafter, He made the last three utterances and yielded
up the spirit voluntarily unto the father’s hands. Once again, He cried
with a loud voice and said, “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit:”
Luke 23:46. His time of death exactly coincided with the killing of the
Passover Lamb.
Roman authorities bury them in a common graveyard. They decided
to do the same with Jesus. But Heaven intervened to prevent it. God
moved the hearts of two secret disciples to plead for His body and obtain
permission from Pilate. Joseph of Arimathea along with Nicodemus gave
Him a royal burial. They used hundred pounds of myrrh and aloes, which
was generally used for king’s burial. Myrrh and Aloes during the time of
Jesus were weighed in Gold. They laid His body in a new sepulcher: John
19:38. It was, indeed, an honorable burial of a King.
His Resurrection, the Chief Priests and Pharisees came together to
Pilate. They made arrangements to prevent His resurrection by guarding
and sealing His tomb. But the grave could not hold Him. On the third
day, He rose again. Neither the Roman soldiers nor the Roman seal could
hold Him. Such was the power of His resurrection! Even today His tomb
is empty, while all the mighty world leaders are sleeping in their graves;
Jesus Christ is the only one who is risen again from the dead and ascended
into heaven. Now He is interceding for us on the right hand of majesty.
As He has promised He will come again to take the saints to be with Him
forever.
What should be our reaction to the Redeemer’s return and the
blessed prospect of our being gathered to Him? Now the just shall live by
faith but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we
are not those who draw back to perdition but of those who believe to the
saving of the soul. We the believers of Christ who have the hope of being
conformed to the very image of Christ at His coming
His Resurrection

“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them
also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there
shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” (John 10:16)
The Lord Jesus became for them the Good Shepherd.
There is no doubt but that the Jews in the days of the Lord
were enclosed in the fold of Judaism with all its constraints
and commandments that the followers of that religion
practiced. He did not climb up some other way as many, who
had come before Him, had attempted but He appeared right
at the door of the sheepfold. John the Baptist, the four-runner
opened to Him and He then called His own sheep by name.
They, few in number at that time, heard His voice, recognized
it and followed Him, at great personal cost, out of that now
discredited system. Many others, of course, remained in the
fold and lived there without experiencing the glorious liberty
of the gospel of the grace of God.
The Shepherd said, ‘Other sheep I have, which are not
of this fold: them also I must bring? Here the reference is to
Gentiles who were held securely in folds of their own; folds
of idolatry, sin, and shame. Yet, in His love and kindness, the
Good Shepherd later called them also and joined them with
the sheep previously rescued from the fold of Judaism.
The other sheep are the Gentile believers. (Acts 11:18)
The one flock signifies the one church, the one Body of
Christ, (Eph 2:14-16) brought forth by the Lord’s eternal,
divine life, which He imparted into His members through His
death. The fold is Judaism, which is of letter and regulation,
and the flock is the Church, which is of eternal life and spirit.
By which they can be formed into one flock under Himself as
the one Shepherd. As the good shepherd, He feeds His sheep
with the divine life in this way and for this purpose.
As followers of Jesus Christ, they began their spiritual
journey with a commitment to the Lord and commensurate
action that would make life profitable. He returns for His own!
In view of that, we continue our endeavor to abound in the
work of the Lord knowing that our labor is not in vain in the
Lord (1 Cor 15:58).
May the Lord of peace make all grace abound, so that ye,
having all sufficiency into all good things, abound unto every
good word and work in you and your dear family.
“There Shall be One Fold and One Shepherd”

వినమ్ర హృదయం యొక్క స్వీకరణ;
